He's a free transfer so United don't need to receive or be aware of any offer, formal or otherwise.

His contract elapses on June 30 and he's rejected every offer United have tried to present.

If he's happy with the City terms, I'm sure we are quite happy to let United pay his wages until the end of June.

I remember watching him for Juve against us in the Champions League and he was unplayable, at the time I remember thinking he could be our next Yaya Toure. If we pulled this off on a free transfer and got the Pogba that turns up for France, it would be an absolute steal and a welcome addition for me. Honestly the vast majority of United fans won’t give a fuck.

I’m not so sure. Was with a mate of mine who has had a ST at OT for 40 years and he recently said to me the only quality player we have is Pogba.

Sterling has been a fantastic signing but sometimes a parting of the ways suits all parties. I am not slagging him off just think it’s time.

We may buy crap to replace him but it’s the chance you take. Also he was offered a contract. He has made up his mind last season to go out Milner style. It’s his decision.
