Pellegrini has made City a 'happy' club again, claims Begiri

The point is simple.

Whatever Mancini says post dismissal are the personal opinions of Mancini and reflect for better or worse on him alone. What Txiki or Chappers say in a documentary are not just the opinions of that individual but the opinions of the club they represent and will reflect for better or worse on the club. On this basis alone they, on behalf of the club they represent, should act as the 'better man' as it were and keep their personal animosity to themselves. By speaking out in this manner we get a) negative articles and b) long, fucking tedious threads in which we go round and round in ever decreasing circles.

As for whatever comments Mancini made prior to his dismissal they are grounds for action by the club if they see...oh wait they fired him.

My point remains Chappy and Txiki's comments are literally nothing. There's no headline there. Mancini was disliked and club is a happier place. This is made reference to on an almost weekly basis somewhere on a forum or in the media. Nevermind being old news, it's not even news.

This thread only has life because the immediate response of those who feel personally affronted by any criticism of Mancini is to attack the person doing the criticising, so someone like Chappy becomes the sock washing bitter ****.

I thought it was Chappy's deputy - who became Sunderland's sock washer - that started all this many months ago. Possible conspiracy?

Anyway, let's see the TV programme to get better context. If Txiki and Ferran are claiming a great coup in appointing MP (and I like the engineer), I would like them to clarify how close they were to appointing Dave Moyes.

If it turns out the Davey dumped us, it could be a great boost to the #SOD campaign at a time when the Rags look to be heading for a thrashing vs Bayern.

Judge for yourself.

So predictable. A bunch of fans who've never worked a day in the club know better than Chappy. I knew halfway through reading the article that he'd be thrown under the Mancini bus.[/quote

Not really, Chappy could get on with performing his role as the kit man and Txiki likewise with his Director of Football duties. Settling old scores doesn't take the Club forward.

We don't need to work in the Club to be a big part of the Club. Just like all the other Blues who have supported the team through thick and thin.

Txiki saying that he made the right decision (with his mate) in sacking Mancini.
Now who would have thought that he'd say that?
It was right to part company with Mancini at the time we did. He is always
a bit of a "short, sharp, shock" type manager with a limited timespan at
any club. The way we handled his dismissal was an absolute disgrace though
and probably cost us the Cup Final. If Txiki thinks bad mouthing the man who
ended the 35 year drought and won us the title after 44 years is going to play
well with City fans he is very, very, wrong. Whatever their feelings about the
rights and wrongs of his dismissal 90% of fans still love Mancini for what he
achieved.

Haha. I'd say that over 99% of city fans won't give a fuck one way or the other about the comments.

The Mancini candle holders represent a tiny number of crackpots amongst our fanbase. Everyone else has long moved on.

This documentary ran here in the States last week. It's the first of a series in which clubs open their doors to NBC (the network that has bought the Prem rights in the US from this season on) and is not produced by City ... they are just the first club to participate.

It's a fairly innocuous documentary in which they interview everyone from the groundsman to Bernard Halford. Chappie gets as much air time as the tea lady and probably less than Sharon, the club photographer. At one point, Sharon pulls her face at the mention of Edin's name. The old tea-lady rolls her eyes at the idea that she might have fancied Buzzer in his prime.

Who shall we drum out of the club first? The jumped-up kitwasher, the two-faced snapper or the charwoman with ideas above her station? Damn peasants don't know their place.

We have too many thin skinned fans DD.I would think that certain parts of the anatomy have yet to fall into their scrotum.

The rights or wrongs of this being said are another matter entirely but I do think he has a point to be fair. You only have to see the reactions of the players now when they are substituted and it's completely different to under Mancini. No teddy throwing, no long faces and players slouching off down the tunnel. Pellegrini greets his players with a ruffle of the hair or a handshake and offers words of encouragement. Mancini could barely look at them. I know this might mean a lot but surely a happy camp is going to be better than an unhappy one.

There are as yet undiscovered life forms living on the side of hydrothermic vents in the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean who can see that City is a much happier camp under the new manager. In fact that's probably not strong enough: there are microscopic organic amaeba living on moons on the far side of Alpha Centurae who can see it.

Fuck it, I'm going to go the whole way...even that TGR would admit it if pushed, and he has a picture of Bob in his wallet.

Safe to say you agree with me then ;-)
