I doubt it, it's just the club managing the news agenda

I'm wondering if we will announce the new manager at the same time as a shit load of players. Gives the press more to think about and they're less likely to start asking loaded questions and act the ****.

"Manuel, are you concerned that you have no influence in the clubs transfer policy. The pressure on you must be immense as the club owners have already signed 100 million pounds worth of players with a further 300 million to follow. Surely it's win the champions league or your sacked?

Jeez , mate that was scarily authentic...

Pellers should just reply

"Fook off , toe rag.."

It would be most gratifying to hear !!

He can have his holiday after it has been announced!! Announce him, let them all have a short holiday and then get the pre-season started.

I'm not really worried when the club choose to announce it. He's clearly coming, and whilst it's a bit odd there's been no formal announcement it doesn't really matter in the scheme of things.

Totally agree Ric but it just gives me a little concern that they are holding out. Just a teensy, weensy bit because they don't really have to have a press conference or anything, just say, X has been appointed and is now on holiday/negotiating his back room staff team/having a baby/babysitting the grandchildren, whatever. :-)

This waiting only gets people thinking maybe it isn't the person we think it is but someone else.

Re: Pellegrini is the new manager (Malaga Newspaper reports) 3.

Won't be surprised if its announced early next week so that we have the end of this week and the weekend to get all our ducks in order and have all his backroom sorted. Could also be that they wanna announce him and all the transfers(navas, ferna, isco?) all at once. Much rather they take their time and just do it right instead of rush

I wonder if the Pellegrini negotiations are more due to his back room staff rather than him himself?

If were are bringing the lot of them over with him, thats a load more contracts etc we've got to agree, not mention compensation for Malaga.

I notice Pellegrini has had the same assistant with him for many years, could it be with Malaga's financial plight they are thinking of promoting him in to the top job, as a cheap option?

I doubt it, it's just the club managing the news agenda

Hang on a minute.....There's an agenda???

an holistic one no? the staff of pellegrini is him and Cousillas, nothing else, he usually work with the goalkeeper trainer and physical trainers of the club. I think that only in argentina he worked with his own physical trainer

That could be what the hold up is then.

We got rid of virtually all the back room staff along with Mancini.

Re: Pellegrini is the new manager (Malaga Newspaper reports) 3.

The delay matters little if the deal is in the bag.

We're ahead of the game with our transfer activity, we just carry on doing the close-season business. It's not as if the coach has to take a 1st team training session
