Pellers press conference

Re: Pellers press conference,not confernce..

One thing that struck me about this presser was his comment about the loyalty of the fans and most especially the part where he referenced the "third division".

It's all too easy to get carried away with what people say when they first join a club. What have they been spoon fed? Do they really mean that?

But wouldn't it be wonderful to think, turning my mind back to some shitty, dilapidated ground, the terrace swelling with discontented blues watching another baffling and abject performance, that our refusal to give up on this club when all seemed utterly lost played a significant role in turning the head of a leading European coach when our luck did, as we all hoped but never expected, eventually turn.

Whatever the answer, it does nothing to change the incredible and unmatched narrative of this unique and wonderful football club.

We are truly blessed.

Re: Pellers press conference,not confernce..

Pellegrini asked a question about the scum and how its important to beat them, he says it is and he has done it before.

The scum fans all jump up and down about how we are still obsessed with them. What was Pellers supposed to do, say he doesnt want to beat our biggest rivals? Their knuckle dragging ways know no lows, utter thick twats.

The first half of the season before the football we played was peerless in the Premier League era, which already seems to have disappeared from the consciousness of the media.

It wasn't horrible. Far from it, in fact. But, compared to the heights we hit in the first 4 months of the title winning season, there were times last season when we were bang average. Actually, thinking about it; we were fairly horrid at Goodison (again), The Liberty Stadium, St Mary's, nearly all of the CL campaign and the farce at Wembley. And those are only the ones that spring readily to mind. Not many, granted. But how many is too many?

He's a bullshitter. Always together were we? Where were you when Edghill was booed off to tears eh? When Nicky Summerbee was glad to leave to escape the boo boys? Fickle twat.

Very cool and in parts cheeky interview by Manuel.

Loved the bit where he pointed out previous triumphs over Utd re CL progress.

Fernandinho is very blunt and serious and appears to have already decided the press/media are *****.

I like that and I like him. If he plays like he interviews, they'll be no fucking about and he'll be owning the midfield.

Well said lad , my thoughts exactly, appears very driven and determined looking . As for Senor Pelligrini, he comes across as a very cool and intelligent, " Hombre".

Re: Pellers press conference,not confernce..

Q; "Why did you join?"

A: Three things: Txiki, Soriano; the squad; the fans

Come off it mate, cut out the cheese for god's sake. Yes, we have some fans. I think other teams have fans too. A nice try at throwing us a compliment, but transparently that is complete BS.

I think you are being a little unfair he as he qualified what he said. in terms of our loyal and enduring support.

It could very well be BS, but to describe it as definitively and absolutely so is a little OTT imo.

Re: Pellers press conference,not confernce..

Would agree with one previous post on here that he kinda reminded me of Arsene Wenger - in a good way. Can't see him taking any BS from players, or the media. He put one reporter in his place, reminding him that he had previously answered the question he was asking him.

Good luck Manuel.
