Re: Pellers press confernce
Again the best seller analogy can be used.
If you're selling an item do you
a) concentrate on the positives
b) talk about the negatives
United can do no wrong. If they spend it's because they can due to their massive revenue streams. If they lose a match, it's no problem because their winning mentality will help them prevail. If they win it's because they're great. If they are given a dodgy penalty it's part if the game and it evens itself out. If they are not given a penalty then try referees too slow or had an off day (couldn't handle the pressure, let the fans make his decision for him etc). If they sign a player it's because he's part of a masterplan and will become great, if they miss on a player it's because of money.
Cut a long story short, spin is their main attribute. Everything is sugarcoated red. David Moyes rapid rise in stock is the epitome of it. Laudrup and Martinez both have won more than him and both were equally as hamstrung financially. Moyes was a steady eddie and seen as a good manager but not great. Ask any United, Chelsea and Arsenal fan who were all linked to him and they would reel off a dozen names and then say Moyes isn't good enough. All of a sudden he's now a terrific manager and United have struck gold appointing him. Spin. Spin. Spin.
Hysterical the levels of propaganda. Makes North Korea look like Wikileaks ffs.

It's not an anti-City thing, but they are pro-Utd. Even my myopic rag mates accept this, I think everybody accepts it don't they?
If your shop sells 20 products but ones a best seller which one do you think they will peddle the most?
It's common sense they play up to the rags because that's their market. Same as the press.
What is more annoying is some people pretending it doesn't go on. Much like the Rooney & RVP elbow Vs the Ade & Balo "stamp" etc.
