Penalty Taker

Who should take penalties if Haaland is not on the pitch?

As others have mentioned, Yaya is far and away our best penalty taker, based on his impressive record for us. He has bith the technique and, very importantly, the cojones for the job. However, even if special teams were part of the game, Yaya would not be on the bench at this point.

Aguero should not be taking them: he has missed too many. Although, I do admire the fact that he has not, so far, shied away from taking them.

Gundogan, Nacho and Dinho are suggestions that might be good options.

KDB one would expect better of but he made a cardinal error yesterday by changing his mind.

My left field option would be Otamendi, who I think might at least hit the ball so hard that the pace would beat most keepers so long as the placement was reasonably good. Of course the same should apply to Kolarov but he has form for missing from the spot.

Slightly of thread.

I've said for years that the player who gets awarded the penalty, should be the player who takes the penalty. This would be interesting if the FA ever changed the rules.

Take Sagna for example, a fairly regular in the team, yet he's never scored for us as yet. He goes down in the box to then let our(arguably) best pen taker Aguero score a goal(that he hasn't earned) that he will score on most occasions. To me that isn't fair, should be the player who gets awarded the penalty taking the penalty.

But that is just my opinion of course.

It's a good idea, unless the person fouled has to go off injured, then what ? Like I say good idea but.......nexxxxttttttttt

Agüero is and should be our penalty taker, he's just missed a few just like Messi and CRonaldo have in the last year but they, and Kun, will continue to be the penalty takers like they all should be

They both over thought them, decide, aim for the corner high or low but not at goalkeeper level and boot it hard,i'll do it for 2 quid and a mars bar
