Penalty Taker

Who should take penalties if Haaland is not on the pitch?

Ray Stewart, great penalty taker, he just seemed to 'twat it' and it was in the net.
Like most fans, I kind of expect my team to miss and the other seem to score them. Sergio was a phenomenal goalscorer, but he missed a few over the years.
As others have said ,Ya Ya and Mario always inspired confidence (Balotelli seemed too confident sometimes) Going back, always had confidence in Dennis Tueart, though I think he missed two pens in one game once
Can't remember any other City player doing that (I'm sure someone probably has?!)
Away at Burnley

I remember Tueart scored 2 pens v Norwich I think in 76 but actually scored 4 but 2 were retaken....unless I'm remembering wrong. Saw Gary Owen scored 2 pens home to Coventry in 79.

Keith Curle past Schmeichel was the best penalty ever

He did have 2 saved but scored from a rebound so I count that as a pen scored.
Now I think about it, didn't Sergio miss 2 away to Bucharest in Peps first season?
I love penalties

I think it was Guardiola’s first game in charge wasn’t it? Possibly second.

He was funny with penalties Aguero. He had a pretty average record overall. 48-14. But I always felt confident when he was lining up a big one. And he nearly always obliged. That one at Tottenham in the Champions League the obvious exception. It was in the less important ones where he seemed to get a bit cocky and more likely to miss. That piss take one in his last game ( I think ) against Chelsea a classic example of that.

He’s all business is big Erling, no pissing about with silly jittery run ups trying to outwit the keeper, he addresses the ball, runs forward purposely and fucking smashes it.

If a keeper manages to save one of his pens it’s well done that man.

Though his penalty at West Ham was almost the opposite - rolled into the corner.
