People clapping for Joey B

I didn't applaud Barton and was surprised that some people did. I just never admired him as a player and off the field there's nothing to like about him at all.

Can't help thinking that he played pretty well before he went off though - was probably their best player in fact and the result might have been different had he stayed on. So, I suppose I could have shown my appreciation for him leaving the game....

Barton gets it wherever he goes - thats what happens when you get sent down. Arsenal gave him more than us, "You're supposed to be in Jail" was sung over and over, and they booed his every touch. I think he deserves it.

Not many players get a good reception when they come back, I would say Niall Quinn was the best i remember, everyone singing "Away away away" and "Disco pants"

there's an old fashioned prick who always claps everything throughout the whole game really loudly, who also clapped barton off, felt like punching him even more so than on a normal game.

I for one would welcome Barton back at city, not because I admire him or think he would enhance our team though.
Unfortunately for me I have got a signed, number 8, Barton shirt, and even worse I have got the red and black first advice shirt, signed by Shaun Goater and Shaun Wright-Phillips and wait for it Joey Barton.
If we got him back I could get them out of the closet, lol.

I clapped him off, he is a real person that you can relate to and rose to be our main man once we hd to sell SWP. Most people have got it fights, shit happens, I wish him well.

So you would punch a fellow City fan just for being over exuberant?

It's the least those people that applaud absolutely everything should expect. There was one sitting near us on Wednesday who clapped like a bloody seal everytime anybody so much as kicked the fucking ball.

I will tell you why, he got us a draw at the Swamp, played a major part if not kept us up full stop under Pearce, never EVER has said a bad word about us since leaving, and was always a real fans player he always gave 110% and bailed us out on numerous occasions, and how can we forget this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFEOYhlVyfM, loved him as a player but dug his own grave off the pitch.
What about all the chances and support he got off us only for him to ask for a transfer

You must prefer it being silent then.
