up to de jong coming i'd have had him back in a heartbeat.
good player, got stuck in and played for the shirt.
so what he twatted a couple of wimps, come on, who on here wished they had a crack at dabo.
joey off the field was a loon as it seems is young johnno but no off field shit stopped joey putting a shift in.
i clapped him on and off the pitch, and will do again.
btw apart from the kid up front he was their best player.

good points, well made

I will tell you why, he got us a draw at the Swamp, played a major part if not kept us up full stop under Pearce, never EVER has said a bad word about us since leaving, and was always a real fans player he always gave 110% and bailed us out on numerous occasions, and how can we forget this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFEOYhlVyfM, loved him as a player but dug his own grave off the pitch.
agreed, some people would swear he is a complete tosser in general, beat up a team mate, asked for a loyalty bonus as he was fucking off to another club and was a money grabbing cock asking for wages we couldnt afford at the time
i wish he had the clap

not read all this
but, my take - he is a nasty piece of work. Example of the chaz shit that are taking over our world.
If hes paying for counseling - he should get his money back, He just cant help ever rising to the bait, He couldnt contain himself from his first game back after nick. He never will.
Clapped as he left the field this week, Slung his boot down the tunnel, Not the actions of a man trying to keep his head down.

But for city he gave everything. For a season we were a better team with him playing than not. And imo Dabo needed a smack as the worst example of a player taking the piss - and taking OUR money. I know I would have felt the same as Joey did. Not right, But there you go

Il never forgive the nob for putting a transfer request in.

He didn't, that is why we paid him a £300,000 loyalty payment when he left.

Dementia?

Not really interested in his past mistakes, sorry he went to jail, and he is most certainly one of ours still. I dunno but there is something in this line up that tells me we should have him back it looks awesome, strong a fantastic defensive shield, for me it makes all discussion irrelevant. Loads of invention and a few feisty winners, sorry Barton and Bellamy would give us that winning mentality, that Robinho spoke about.

You tell me what a focused Barton could do with that lot around him, and then tell me it wouldn't work

where i was sat, a good few people stood up and clapped joey when he went off..

i cant think why? he shown nothing but disrespect for city when he left, and has been nothing but a dick since, he doesnt deserve anyones clap
You've clearly got a short memory then.

He's a c*nt but he used to be our c*nt and we loved him for it, no matter how much some people might wish to rewrite history.

And this is coming from someone who hates the twat

This - and every honest fan who followed City in those days should say the same.

tbh I am at best a little torn about it. He was a complete dick off the field but never bad mouthed the fans, told it as it was, showed his commitment to us and whether we like it or not was arguably our best player.

I sort of feel the same, 50/50 towards him.

Are you serious Corky lad?

You really shouldn't be accusing others of dementia when you don't know what you're talking about yourself. Do you not remember the reaction at the game after he handed it in? He was roundly booed by everybody in the ground (and went on to have a cracking game).

he's a dirty thug who should be banned from football, a bad role-model to any kid

yes he did well for us that season when were very weak, but who cares? its a team game they all pulled together and kept us up.

the lads a head-case who should be in prison.

I cannot believe we got 5.5m for him 5.8m with his signing on fee because e would not be done out of his 300k bonus for loyalty !

Joey you have gone downhill since you left City, but then again you would not have got into this side.

P.S you looked good in a poor team the other night !! much like like when you did in the Pearce regime enjoy your one cap because you will never get another.
