I’m well aware of that, I was comparing city v United to Barca v real

The OP rightfully compared to an Espanyol game because just like that fixture, this was inconsequential for us. I would say and El Clasico in similar circumstances is only about the bragging rights. We got a more important game in over a weeks time.

Pep+s derbies are somehow always very unimportant, unless they are very important. He started it the first year he came and it continued until today.

That was months after and a great night for them, but to the majority of us who have suffered over the years, every opportunity we get to rub their nones in it we should

It still didn't matter much to them in the grand scheme of things. It did bother Ferguson that season but they did end up with two trophies.

Yeah 10 fucking days away so why rest today not in the next 2 meaningless games?

Reflecting on it the day after. I can understand why he decided to rotate, I don't agree but I can understand it. The Arsenal game was thrown in last minute and he has to rotate to fit.

We conceded two goals we probably wouldn't ever again. Not much Pep can do about that.

The starting 11 he picked should have still been good enough to win. Sadly they just didn't want it. Is that Peps fault or the players.

Yeah Stones, I rate him more than Fern in defence but the manager doesn't so we will continue to lose games.

Fernandinho is better than both those clowns at centre half. The manager also rates Otta ahead of Stones and that says it all about what a disaster 50m young player Stones has become.

Ok then Pep is never wrong is he, we agree to disagree.

Btw, I agree that Pep's most questionable decision all season is persisting with Dinho. The only reason why he gets away with it so lightly is that our fans are blind about Fernandinho's weaknesses at CB as they are blind about Kun's non-performances in big games away from home. Good that Pep had enough sense to not start them at Madrid. Now that Laporte is injured we may have to play with Ota and Dinho which is probably the worst CB combo left in the CL.
