On point 1, this was our third meeting against Tuchel’s side and we’d lost the previous 2 and didn’t learn a thing. So while they are good we had ample evidence an time to fix any problem and we didn’t. People said we didn’t play our best team against them before so they wouldn’t know what we were doing and then did fuck all

Secondly I’ve seen many people claim us losing our heads is raggish behaviour yet this pure fucking arrogance is okay. I don’t get it
We could play them another three times and lose. It wasn't the team he picked last night that lost him the game, it was the assumption that if we put our best team out and played the same tactics as we did in the first two games we would win because of the quality of the players. We lost, I think, because Tuchel has a system that nullifies our strengths. There was zero space for us to control the game.
What usually works didn't work and probably wont work against Chelsea until we come up with something new.

Some fucking whoppers in this thread, we’ve been schooled by Chelsea in the previous two games , Pep tried to find a solution to this and it failed

But this Wasn’t the reason why we lost , we lost because our back four shit the bed in the first half and forgot how to defend a simple channel ball

not only that they were panicking when they did get the chance to clear it , often gifting possession back to start another counter attack

Basically a number of them froze on the biggest stage , it’s the first final for all of them , this can happen

this experience will make us better next time
Wouldn’t have happened if we’d have played a specialist DM. Play the PSG team and we’d have slapped them last night.

Agree with those two points.

Generally, many from our fans underestimated Chelsea because they lost from Arsenal, Leicester and Villa. But they didn't take into account that Chelsea were very tired against these teams having played Real and us over 3 days, that our style, unlike that of underdogs like Leicester, suits their strengths much much better, and that their defensive record since Tuchel has taken over has been fantastic. Being underdogs, they coped much better with the pressure.
The more I think about it, the more I believe that if Pep got anything wrong it was the assumption that by fielding his A team and playing the same system as we did the first two games against Chelsea we would win because of the quality of players on the field. This assumption proved to be incorrect and the game was very similar to the first two. Tuchel is at the moment outsmarting him and I believe next season we will have to change something tactically to beat them.

Did you not watch the same games? Chelsea also dominated Real Madrid and Atletico.

Their style is so much harder to play vs than PSG

Yeah ok. One has Werner and Tammy. The other has Mbappe and Neymar.
One team is full of individuals (PSG) and the other full of players busting a gut (Chelsea) to press and squeeze with young and talented players. Having Kante and Mount pressing non stop is like having 12 players
