We need to renew with him as I dont see any manager that can come in play this kind of football and get results.
More importantly there isnt another one that the squad will listen to this much.

Its very hard to keep a squad full of big players, big egos together just look at Lukaku, Pogba etc.

not mentioning the factor of past/future transfers highlighting the point of working with Pep is an important part of them choosing City.

It isn’t down to us, so make the most it while we can. Will we get a better manager, no but we are well enough run to get the right manager and still be competing, though possibly not quite as dominant and probably not quite as unconventional.

I think we lose at least in the short term the level of dominance straightaway if Pep goes on the pitch and also in terms of dominance in the PL.

The players got used to the Pep style which he is constantly changing by the way and that is what we see currently getting most of the players playing to their ability which is very hard at top level football.

If we would be like Bayern who has their best rival levels below them we could afford but in PL there are other serious CL clubs ready to punish you.

Think we should support and admire Pep not only when we are winning, but also when we are drawing or losing. And that hasn't always been the case. Remember the draws vs United and WBA last season or the loss in Porto. To say that many posts were a bit too critical of Pep would be an understatement.

Pep is Pep, he isn't supposed to play the team the average fan prefers, is he? Accept him with all his brilliance and supposedly wrong decisions. Nobody can be absolutely certain that the line-up in Porto was a mistake, for nobody really knows what would have happened had Pep started with Ferna/Rodri. We could have won 3:0 or lost 3:0. Chelsea had at least 40 % chance to win anyway, but some people still pretend they know for a fact we would have won that game had Pep played with their first XI.

It's simple. If you think you know better than Pep how to prepare the team for a big game, become a manager and show it on the pitch. If you are nowhere being as good at managing teams as Pep, then why not just shut up and enjoy one of the greatest managers ever? Criticise him, but show humility and gratefulness.

I sometimes think about the United fans who used to do nothing but snipe at Ferguson throughout the 00s every time they had a slightly poor season. Be careful what you wish for, this is as good as it gets.

I thought at the time that retaining the trust and picking up the players after the champions league final would be his biggest challenge at City. Would have been so easy at that point for cracks to appear.

It’s to his and the players’ eternal credit the way they’ve reacted this season.
