Think it was pretty obvious he wanted to keep his two hardest working forwards fresh for the Liverpool game hence Mahrez and Sterling starting this one.
It should have paid dividends as well because we were the better team overall but punished for not taking chances, and there were a few!
But obviously he's got no plan B (this is still a thing in some heads! Haha) and it's on him we lost.
Truth is we could afford to lose this game but Sunday is a different kettle of fish.

Spot on.

Three big games in a week, Pep will have worked on the basis that one would be 'expendable', and PSG in a group game was the obvious choice. He would have been disappointed not to get at least a point, but the team performance was very good and we lost to two great finishes.

Sunday should see Pep's best (available) eleven and I wouldn't be surprised to see KDB sitting this one out. It should be a great match, and we can expect Liverpool to show a lot more ambition than Chelsea did.

The police aren't investigating anything, the only news about Pep comes from an account in Andorra used between 2003 and 2005.

Statute of limitations is 4 years. They're 12 years too late to do anything, if he's even done anything wrong, which seems unlikely given his accountant's willingness to explain the situation to the Spanish press.

Yesterday was the Pep that we all love. Stuck it to their fans and the ref and got carried away in his passion for our performance, result and club. Making a statement by saying Anfield and the swamp are just places you don't get calls is exactly what we want from a manager. He should have dealt with the Leipzig attendance by issuing a rallying cry for the fans vs Southampton instead of giving the media an iced cake by saying more should turn up.

He nailed the tactics and with a better referee and a few more runs into the box we would have won the game. 7 games in, 2pts off top and we've been to Spurs, Leicester, Chelsea and Liverpool and played Arsenal at home. Not bad at all considering a lack of pre-season. Time to kick on and go on a winning run now against easier opposition and build a lead at the top.

I loved his unbridled joy each time we scored and his uncontained fury at the disgraceful decision not to send off Milner! I also like his genuine appreciation and respect for Klopp.

The performances of the team and Pep's enthusiasm has created a tremendous feel good factor about the club going into the international break.

We are so lucky to have him as a manager, I would absolutely love him to stay as long as possible at City, and prove, beyond doubt, he is the best manager in football history!
