Pep Guardiola - 2022/23

Ignoring the all too predictable comments from certain posters, There have been quotes from Pep where he has acknowledged that the team isn't getting the best out of Haarland at present, and that both the team and the player need a change of approach. That suggests to me that he is planning for a change of personnel and tactics in the summer.

I doubt that we will buy in this transfer window based upon things he has said in the past, although we have done so in some years.

So with the limited time on the training ground due to the fixture arrangements, he needs certain players to up their performances, although I thought it was much improved against the rags, despite their gifted goal which totally upset the team imo. There are players who are either out of form or not performing at their best which isn't helping either. Foden isn't at his best but not alone in that.

Maybe there are certain young players he could introduce, but only he and the rest of the coaching staff know whether they are regarded as ready.

Strange season with the WC disrupting the arragements but I dont believe that Pep isn't trying to find solutions.

Hopefully the team are fired up by the rags result and we click into something like our best.

Bunch of moronic soft arses in here. Trying desperately to get rid of Pep because we lost a couple of games. Who needs fans like this?

Pathetic reasoning to justify trying to get the great man to leave. Change is not a good thing most of the time and does not work. So who will take charge? And when that person gets sacked in 12 months who next?

Only a direct challenger wants pep gone. Oh and the media and every rag/scouse pundit. Total bullshit. Get behind our most successful manager.
What you on about?

I say bring back Mancini (but not the one who needed a United collapse to win the league before fucking an FA Cup final).

Bring back Kolorov! He had fight him in (that our fans moaned about constantly). Bring back Negrado! Bring back Sane.

I say bring back Keegan, he played exciting football at least!

Bring back Dunney. Proper leader Dunney. Fucking Dunney wouldn't be having any of this nonsense on the pitch.

They saw little or no difference when Pep left them because they were (still are) playing in 2 or 3 team leagues.

The PL is a different kettle of fish.

My concern is that when it comes to succession planning, the Board may yet turn out to be the most complacent part of the organisation.

They're probably planning to get Pellegrini back to hold the fort while Pep takes a three year sabbatical
Surley our board won't be complacent, id hope so anyway, we have everything in place for his successor to succeed.. Forget about hiring dinosaur managers

What you expect? When teams have won as many titles as us there is usually a drop of but points wise we are up there with when we won the league before! It’s just Arsenal have been brilliant! Wait till pep goes then we will know what a real drop of will be!
It's more than a drop off, if Pep thought that would happened more changes would have been made last summer.

Too many have gone off and all at the same time and for the first time since Pep arrived.

I'm still not ready to believe that the issues are anything more than a natural decline after two successful seasons. We were stretched to breaking point last season with injuries. Having epic fights with Atletico, Real and having to win every game in the league.

There is something in this. And we could draw a parallel with our good friends (!) down the East Lancs Road. City and the dippers have slugged it out over a number of eye-wateringlyintensive seasons. Arsenal are benefiting from being fresher; fewer fixtures, lower expectations, less pressure.

Pep and Klopp haven’t suddenly turned to shit. Nor has our squad.

There are clearly issues to be addressed. Mental and physical fatigue don’t explain everything but this has to be a factor.

Rumour I heard is that there are a number of unhappy players in the camp at present ….
The performance level is more down to some not allegedly wanting to give ‘their all’ for Pep any more.
Not quite at the Mancini situation prior to cup final…. But not far off

Saw on twitter someone tweet saying they saw Palmer and Ortega come out of a meeting before the United game unhappy and pissed off getting into their cars

If there's no reaction from the players against Spurs then there might be something wrong in the locker room. Player power is a thing, We've seen it at Chelsea, United, Madrid, Juve it is a thing. Players will down tools if they are not happy

You watch the urgency by the team against Chelsea? And we were far better side than the rags and in my mind we won that game! It’s to do with won the last two leagues there usually a drop off the World Cup where we had more players there than any other team and Arsenal being fantastic!

Against Leeds and Liverool Haaland got ball early in game and he almost score in both games from that, and since than no more ball for Haaland to run at goal which is one of his best attributes, midfielders doesn't try to pass to him only Gundogan is trying to pass to him.

Our best game after world cup was against Leeds we created a lot chances and we played fast attacking since than things change, yes we beat Chelsea in cup but they are mess.

No one wants Pep gone or something else, but we don't play how we can, we are slow no transition when we won ball we are slow,it looks like we don't press like we used to.

Against top opponents Pep make sure we are afraid of them which is wrong, they should be afraid of us.
His tactics in big games was to play safe, because he is afraid of opponent counter attack I get that, but he should not make players to worry alot how will our opponents play because of that our play suffers.

Grealish sayed after Chelsea game that he haded free role at Aston Villa basically he haded freedom.
Here he doesn't have that maybe in some games he has but in most doesn't, and he is most dangerous when he has ball and is running at goal.
