It just occurred to me that Voltaire's work "Traité sur la Tolérance" was an early critique of the latest off-side rules. Forward thinker extraordinaire.Not that one but a fine example of Voltaire’s sagacity. No, when Arteta was pressed yesterday more than once to comment on the charges levelled at City, he refused to comment saying he would instead ‘dig in his own garden’. Or as Voltaire said in Candide, ‘il faut cultiver notre jardin‘…I suspect Arteta knew he was quoting Voltaire in English.
"Baque-tracquer" to track back. You at the back, conjugate!
Just watched the second part of the PC. It was noticeable that the questions were much softer, more sympathetic even, than in the first part. Whether that is because the big-hitters like Sky, BBC had shot their bolts already on predictable questions or whether Guardiola made some progress getting his pov across, I don't know. But I thought it was noticeable.
Who asked the first question, about the supporters?
@tolmie's hairdoo ?
Edit: I meant TH may know, not that it was TH. Or ......... was it?

The Stadium du Pep highly appropriate.Does anyone think Pep has done enough right now for him to get a statue outside of the stadium?
If not what more does he have to do during the rest of his time at the club?
You haven't got a womb. Where's the foetus going to gestate? You're going to keep it in a box?Not often as a bloke I get broody and want to have babies with another man, but that press conference was up there with 93:20

Pep also threw PiGMOB under his bus last night with his we have to be perfect to even win games in this league.

He also came up with the phrase ‘pour encourager les autres’ (to encourage the others) referring to the execution of Admiral Byng as an example to others - that phrase might well be applied to the FA PL’s charges against City as a warning to other clubs.
