Not that one but a fine example of Voltaire’s sagacity. No, when Arteta was pressed yesterday more than once to comment on the charges levelled at City, he refused to comment saying he would instead ‘dig in his own garden’. Or as Voltaire said in Candide, ‘il faut cultiver notre jardin‘…I suspect Arteta knew he was quoting Voltaire in English.
It just occurred to me that Voltaire's work "Traité sur la Tolérance" was an early critique of the latest off-side rules. Forward thinker extraordinaire.

Just watched the second part of the PC. It was noticeable that the questions were much softer, more sympathetic even, than in the first part. Whether that is because the big-hitters like Sky, BBC had shot their bolts already on predictable questions or whether Guardiola made some progress getting his pov across, I don't know. But I thought it was noticeable.

Who asked the first question, about the supporters?

I've always been annoyed when he talks about the history boys and suggests we don't have their experience, even though I know that is just to take the pressure off the club. But what he did in that press conference is way beyond a manager's duty and he has fucking stuck it to them. Sensational stuff.

Pep also threw PiGMOB under his bus last night with his we have to be perfect to even win games in this league.

He also came up with the phrase ‘pour encourager les autres’ (to encourage the others) referring to the execution of Admiral Byng as an example to others - that phrase might well be applied to the FA PL’s charges against City as a warning to other clubs.

.... or, more literally, as an encouragement.

FINALLY!

They've been poking the bear for far too long.
The press have gotten bolder and bolder with little reaction.
What our club owners didn't understand is how inaction affects us and how this arms rival fans.

Being found innocent at CAS wasn't enough. Headlines were "GOT AWAY WITH IT". The fine for withholding data has been weaponised as evidence "something" must have been dodgy. Mourinho even stated "you don't get fined if you are innocent". He knew full well the reason, but knew plebs would lap it up as meaning more.
I feel City should have taken the fine further (if possible). As how can you have a system that was leaking sensitive information apply a sanction for not wanting to provide sensitive information!

I think Peps reaction has scared them. I wonder how many have gone back and checked their past articles.
I think they also realise that we won't be letting things go in the future, and may also be going back with things.

Can we get a 'LIST'' of our own going here? and hand that into this coterie of cunts at the PL.
Ban Liverpool for the following

*attack on our team coach
* their spying on our training
