Let's split the difference.. he's 34 and at that age.. not everyone ages like Ferna did. When everyone is young, in their prime.. just losing 1/2 a second is all you need to be ineffective.

It happened to someone I love - Ayme Laporte too. And he willingly sacrificed his knee so that we could get the 2022 title and played injured. I will never forget that!

Sadly not everyone retires in their prime. So it happens to everyone and forces Pep to make painful decisions.

Ok, every player ages at some point.

Does that make Kompany shite? Or Fernandinho? How about KDB?

The abuse of players and even of Pep at times on this site, because of two bad months, has been pretty shocking to me.

Thing is Kompany knew his body was getting injured too much and retired! He didn't let a decline happen. We all felt he shoulda signed a contract for another year but kudo's to him to go out on top.

And I bet you in 10 years.. no one will remember Walker was shit and he'll be celebrated here like Zaba was and everyone here will sing his praises like they were their biggest fan.

As for the abuse what do you expect from a platform like twitter that encourages saying the most stupid shit to get more engagement? It's done irrepairable harm to our society. For my sanity.. I tend to just hang out at blue sky and if I see people doing the same shit here that can't be talked out of it.. I just put them on ignore.

Most of them are just instant footy experts - just add water anyways! Nothing lost by putting them on ignore.

Mid table lololol
I must have missed the joke? Because our form the last two months or so has been what you'd expect from a team fighting relegation and isn't exactly showing much sign of improvement.

We are only 4 points above 11th place, would love to know what you're seeing at the moment to suggest that finishing mid table is out of the question.

Walker was a gifted footballer but it takes more than that to be considered a club legend for me.

Kompany and Zabaleta were real men. Leaders, role models, the kind of men who others could look up to.

Kyle Walker? No chance.

It’s why in my opinion making him captain is an insult to what that armband represents.

He’s similar to Toure in that regard. A brilliant player on his day whose character fell far short.

It's full on relegation form
I mean look at the players he has at his disposal. You can turn on any game Premier League game and you wont see so many put of their depth players as we have to put out every week. He has been massively let down by the board, and if we can qualify for europe next year it will be a great achievment. I would actually say that if we finish above United this season it will be Guardiolas finest achievment as a manager.
