What confuses me, is Pep has been warning of this drop for 2 seasons but we seem wholly unprepared for it. Not just the recruitment, but his playing style and selections. We have half the team injured and half who are playing are absolutely shot physically and mentally.
I can understand the defenders have to play but why play Bernado every single min and run him down into pieces when he looks like that! Unlike the other positions we actually have plenty of choices on the right wing. Foden and Savio cannot do worse.

No genuinely ambitious elite player will want to join City with the 115 charges still hanging over us.

Only ageing mercenaries out for a big payday, and average wannabes like Doku, Nunes, Phillips etc.

Pep has overlooked / underused the academy lads to the detriment of the club in the longer term.
I feel like maybe, just maybe Pep was supposed to leave and then Amorim come in, but the 115 nonsense discouraged Amorim so we had to convince Pep to stay a little longer. Hopefully we shake that nonsense off and begin the succession process

Other than Haaland.. no one's on an insane salary.

Maybe Grealish, Bernardo too. And Stones as well but they've only got 1 year to run.

Everyone else is more like 200k I think.

BTW it's amazing how they've turned from footballers to instagram stars.
Doesn't matter, it all adds up. £200k a WEEK is still a lot to find on top of all the other running expenses of the club.

I suspect that they could be waiting on the outcome of the 115 hearing to see where we're at financially as well as whatever else might come out of it.

But from our side, apart from the entitled gloryhunters who think we should win every match every season who can disappear as fast as they got on board in my opinion, we need to stop the hysterics and accept it for what it is, a bad run brought on mostly by key injuries which has disrupted the team.

I know some don't quite understand how much of a difference it makes and we're watching 11 familiar players, but as an example I think today's game was the first in which KDB and Foden started - and neither look fully fit yet. Half those playing are not 100% but it is what it is. You can't do much if the replacements are not available.

What i can't fathom is that everyone hails Pep as a genius but yet he couldn't see what was eventually coming with a squad full of aging players.

I think he's done personally.

We will continue to drop points form now until Jan/Feb, where eventually an agreement will be reached between him and the board where he will depart ways. And we will all look back and say he should have gone around Christmas time.
