All 3 of those teams employ a high defensive line. Forrest were camping in their own box most of the game
It's not just about the high line, it's the pace in our passing, we never tried to play it quickly today even when Forest sometimes pressed high, it's also no surprise that in those 3 games that we've won we had Marmoush and Haaland starting together, there is more threat with both of them starting.

Ive been working with a theory that the contract settled or headed off a load of distracting media speculation, and not a lot else. Wouldn't be at all surprised to discover he was leaving in the summer and that was the plan all along. He's earnt every bit of his right to decide tho.

His subs have been off all season and his picking of players who are now clearly not doing it anymore is now starting to piss me off . Love pep and he has been the greatest manager we have ever had but I wouldn’t be gutted if he chose to leave end of the season .
I'd be fucking devastated because he's never gone more than one season without winning the league in his entire career.

Pep used to make good players great, he'd now making good players look poor with this sterile, frightened football.

Pep had whole week to prepare this match.
He decided to play 2 players in their worst form from beginning their careers. Phil and Bernardo. These two should start only instead of Ortega at the moment. Not only they play bad, Bernardo blocked Savio al the time on the right.

It was great chance to give Nico O a run. Omar should start also. Speaking about getting to the basics. Pep needs to get to the basics. Play winning team and your best players based on their form.

Sure but he has never had a season as bad as this one. We have been utterly awful by our standards.
He's never had a midfield entirely over 30 before or a full back four missing for half the season, either.

And yes, compared to ridiculous standards he's previously set, we have been poor.

No Vicens thread so I will post it here. Serious questions need to be asked about this guy. We must be the only team in the world where our corners are more of a threat to us than the opposition.

And why is Grealish on the bench if you won't use him at all ? if you've fallen out with him just give his spot to Echeverri or Mubama or someone else.
Couldn’t have been worse than Doku, Savio, Foden or Bernardo. O’Reilly not getting a look in the league when he’s looked the part in most of his appearances also is frustrating

A back four that cost nearly 200 million today.

I agree that the midfield was not up to much given Nico is slow, ditto Bernardo and Foden off form. Why not play O'Reilly?
But essentially it's the dinosaur tactics that are doing for us.
