Pep Guardiola - 2024/25

I don't know why, but I've started thinking that if we secure top five and win the FA Cup, Pep should bow out on that and leave with his head held high.

Not in an angry "Pep Out" kind of way. I actually think if we kept him for the final two years of contract he'd win us the Premier League one more time.

But the entire club is entering a new era with Txiki going and De Bruyne is joining him. Maybe this is the right time to flood the club with new ideas and fresh faces.

Let Pep sort out issues in his personal life, take the massive payout and spend a year out of the game, picking the best offer on his desk at the point of his return.

Let's get Inzaghi on the phone from Inter and see if he fancies giving England a go and turning us into a counter-attacking side with Marmoush and Haaland leading the line.

Like how Wenger should have left Arsenal in 2014 but didn't, I don't want us hanging on and on and on, never knowing when Pep's actually going to go until it's too late.

Win the FA Cup and leave with yet another piece of silverware. Put a lovely cap on his time here by winning the third FA Cup of his tenure with his old guard and send him off with a smile.
I see where you’re coming from
But as a bare minimum we should give him next year to sort it out
Deep down he knows the issues and I think he is just being loyal to his players
It’s all on recruitment now

Had a sleep on it, this is not a go at past hero's but if we keep Gundo, Bernie, Kev, Pep will play them, it is not having them, that is the problem.
I have never enjoyed the way Pep plays with a striker and we have the worlds best, it is not the Spanish (Barca way, currently now have a German coach), I know we have won everything, but I've only enjoyed the glory and individuals, Dave, Kev, not the way we've played under Pep.
This is not yesterday's result I knew it would happen as soon as Erl was fit and again not a go at him, he has his weaknesses that don't help, pressing, just the change in system back to boring shite again, very successful boring shite, stick it up your arse, Pep out.

and while I'm venting fuck the Spanish CEO off with his fucking tourists with camera's, glad I didn't say what I really feel.
I agree to a certain extent although when we humbled Madrid with the best 45 minutes football I've ever seen, it was possession based played at fast pace.
The issue in changing style, to say a counter attack like Inter, is that the youth teams play the same possession based football. So it's not just changing the manager although I think we'd benefit from some fresh ideas.

Nowhere has a change of manager been more obviously successful than Liverpool. The players were tired of Klopp's methods but were still good players. Slot has reinvigorated the team. It doesn't mean he's better than Klopp. Just different.

He is important part of the recruitment team
He is
And some of us he issues are probably his fault
But we need energy in the midfield and full backs
One we have that I think we’ll be good again
Wingers are not contributing because 1 he won’t play them because midfield is shit and needs an extra player and 2 they get doubled up because no midfielders are showing because they all playing scared
Decent full backs should free up space for our wingers as well

I’d rather keep pep and rebuild this team
Start playing good football again
Even if we spend a year rebuilding for a title challenge the year after
Just can’t continue this shit

We started rebuilding in January. So it will be interesting to see if Kush, Gonzalez and Reis get some game time at the CWC.

If he rolls out Gundo, Bernie et al...

If Pep was to be ruthless, we would have 3 or 4 players left. Shambles of a squad provided to Pep
Whoa hold on now. Pep had a major input in bringing these players to the club . He's just as guilty as Txiki (coupled with his preference for a small squad ). The football this season and some of last is almost unwatchable, boring as hell possession with no end product. How the fuck we keep buying players who cannot hit the net to save their lives is beyond comprehension. Blow £160m in January and play only one of the 4 and not until the 83rd minute of a game that would virtually have guaranteed Champions league football (which after all is the owners holy grail) is rank bad management. We may still end the season with a trophy and top 5 but it won't disguise how poor we have been. No one wants to see Pep sacked but he can leave on his own terms which is probably best for all at this stage. All kingdoms eventually fall, the greatest ever at city is crumbling.

Take the likes of gundogan silva kdb away so he can’t pick or play them,it’s got to the stage where those 3 and a few others are moved on but I wouldn’t be surprised pep had them in his starting 11 ..

100% and our solution to the creativity issue is Morgan Gibbs White, who has just had the season of his life, here are his stats..31 games, 5 goals and 7 assists, why do our club think he will be the answer to goals and creativity?

I suppose if we were offered this 8 years ago
2 x Trebles
Centurions
Champions league
4 peat
3 fa cup finals in a row

We would have taken it in a heartbeat
Just hard to take now

I’m 100% in the keep Pep camp and always have been. He deserves the opportunity to rebuild, he has 100% earned it. However, that does not mean that questions shouldn’t be asked and those questions should be coming from the very top. The main question for me, would be around playing style…Are we playing this way because that’s how you see us playing going forward, or is it a temporary measure to suit current available personnel? If it’s the former, even as a staunch Pep supporter, I would start to have my doubts. We must get away from this side-to-side, negative, boring shite we are currently serving up. I have to believe that Pep can’t be happy watching this turgid crap and will do just that. If he doesn’t, one way or another…he’s gone.

For all the bullshit surrounding Klopp and his time at Liverpool he called it and knew when it was time to go..
Maybe
But I think Klopp could have won the prem this year with both us and Arsenal falling off
I bet he is gutted now

Whilst I’ve been critical of Pep and his strange decisions - I also just think the team/squad is just pretty average at the moment

We should have had enough to get the 3 points yesterday

I think if we get a rebuild done this summer, get the players that Pep needs in. If we continue to be this boring and bad next season then questions would have to be asked.

Peps loyalty to certain players is killing the team, if he gets new recruits this summer and continues to play those players, such as if we have a fresh Gibbs white and he instead plays Gundo there needs to be questions.

It means there's a 94% chance we qualify for the Champions League.
I think you need to look up how percentages work.
Based on a PREDICTION by a statistical model that also predicted us to have an 80% chance to win yesterday's game?
It's laughable you think it's a sure-fire way of how football results are going to go.

Back in the real world, having played the way we did yesterday and with two games left against decent opposition, I'd say it's much less.

I'd encourage you to pay more attention to what happens on the pitch as opposed to quoting stats from a prediction website.

I didn't say it was sure fire, otherwise it would have quoted 100%.

I gave you a percentage as you asked for and since then you've demonstrated nothing other than a misunderstanding of percentages.

Let's leave it here because I'm losing braincells with every interaction.
