We’ve lost 3 games in a week and you know what, none affect the season in a meaningful way.
People who criticise him the most always claim he’s a lucky manager who has had everything laid down on plate and maybe there’s a grain of truth in that but the reason he’s the best of the best is because he never stops evolving.
He’s a pretty exceptional person when you listen to him on many subjects. He’s humble, he’s razor sharp and commands the respect of anybody who follows the game who’s not a tribal bellend.
I’m looking forward to seeing him figure things out.
There’s nobody in football I’d rather have with the task.
His is the greatest coach to manage the game. What the man has achieved for city is not repayable.

Many of us will never turn on him, sure we question his logic sometimes out of frustration but you can’t question his commitment towards the club.

We have often said it won’t be topped. The come down could well start now, who knows.

It’s been exciting and exceptional. The pain we have caused, I can’t thank him enough.

The team needs some new players and we have been badly hit by injuries. Some self inflicted and some not. That’s football, we go again.

In pep I trust
for everything that he has done for the club

never pep out for me
and I will disagree with anyone saying pep out

I just want him to have more silverware this season. Keep the streak alive of year after year winning things. I want the history books to be unbeatable! Dig something out Pep! Become even more immortal than you are!

Pep's insistence on having a small squad is coming home to bite, these players have played a crazy number of games for club and country and are running on empty.

But the incredible run we have had under him is simply incredible so the decision to have that small squad is utterly justified.

The only criticism that is justified is never having a proper player to support or give chance to rest Rodri, that was poor planning and recruitment and that has come back to bite us badly.

Very true and with the history we have had at this time of year in having poor runs in the last few seasons many should know better.

Never write this team off!

Just seen Pep reply to a question about managing Brazil;
'After 1-4, I am no longer an option for Brazil. I, no no no, I have more than ever, I feel like lifting the team, getting back to our level.'
I thought that sounded positive news for the future ahead.

Watched that and what a stupid question by that woman just after a champs league game! Pep to nice sometime I'd be just saying next question

Still hate this set-up. hope it changes.
Me too, but I doubt it. Pep sticks to his way regardless of the team's capabilities.

None of our defenders are as bad as they currently look. The system is exposing them. It's similar to 16/17 when we were caught on the break all the time even with Fernandinho being a class CDM.

We had an aging defence. They were all still capable but needed to drop deep to make up for their slowing legs.

Zabaleta
Sagna
Clichy
Kolarov
Otamendi
Kompany

Those full backs especially suffered.

It's hard not to underestimate just how much Walker changed all this. His recovery speed stopped so many attempts at goal and gave the other defenders time to regroup to win the ball back.

A prime Walker would most likely have stopped 2 of the Sporting goals last night. Unfortunately, we don't have that anymore and he is now in the same category as Zaba and Kolarov.

reminds me of the early season last year, Rodri just too much area to cover. (covered excellently by here)
