Yes and no. It might be largely the same squad but our best players aren’t consistently on the pitch. Dias, Stones, Akanji, Rodri, KDB, Foden. If those guys are on the pitch most weeks, we can get away with the likes of Kovacic, Gundo, Nunes et al playing the odd game. However, when these guys become the regulars in the starting XI, thats the level you become and these guys are mid-table level…and that’s where we are heading.

Pep would rather play Lewis at LB than JWE and in midfield instead of McAtee. We know that Lewis is bang average, so clearly Pep has no intention of playing any other youth.

big problem is the squad is not fit. I dont mean the injuries, I mean the players that are are fit are not really fit, look tired, look slow. we seem very tired around 30th minute in recent games in November, December. with the schedule is being as it is, is it only gonna get worse?

it effects our overall play, speed of our play. slow, almost timid at times, our passing is slow too, allows more mistakes, allows opponents to close us down better etc

Exactly. We fans can sing, dance, shout from the rooftops. At the end of the day, the only choice we have is whether or not to watch the match, whoever is in charge, whoever is playing for us, or whatever division (or league) we're playing in.
