What I don’t understand is we are signing players who don’t fit his system. We have moved away from technically excellent players and instead opted for quick players who trove in transitions!

It doesn’t make sense

Maybe because Pep is adapting because the game has changed. We cannot stand still and play like we have tbe last 4 years - it wont work

Pep is changing his system

Love him but he wants out like most of the old players. I don’t see him staying & I’m not sure he’s right to take the next team forward.

We need a fresh start with new energy

Well I sure hope so because he hasn't adapted at all this season.
Absolutely correct, he’s not adapted in the slightest and there’s no guarantee he ever will given the spineless showings we’ve seen the last few weeks. Nor is there any evidence of it being a work in progress - we are arguably worse now.

Any mentality this team has been stripped and the same applies to Pep. There’s an acceptance from him now as to how bad we’ve become, could you have imagined that 3 years ago?

He looks lost, can we really say he has any answers or will find answers? This has been going on since October and were nearly in March, What’s changed?

Some silly comments in here.
Pep, the manager who has been incredible at changing and inventing systems won't change???
He's been banging the drum all season about how the league has changed.

Its derived from frustration and I get that but we need to have some patience whilst the system is changed and older players make way for younger ones and fresher people who will fit a new system.

hope he wont say after this game we were too quick and this cost us. like we need to be even slower going forward.

Does he really think Rico is better than Nunes ?

Or Rico has better future than Nico O'Reilly ?
Well he is..
Nunes is fucking rubbish. If you can’t see that you need to fuck off.
O’Reilly is nowhere near Lewis’ level. I genuinely hope he gets there. I’m not sure you have much if any footballing pedigree ..

People can write whatever they want as long as they respect the forum rules. This is a Man City forum, not a Pep cult.

Said it earlier this season and will say it again ...

If hes not careful he will become like Wenger ...

I thought he would of adapted and sorted some of the mess out.but since singing the contract extension seemingly he wasnt going to sign... 0 has changed ....

Nothing lasts forever

So how many new midfielders has he brought in past signing the contract extension?

Did we magically get rid of 35 year old Gundo, 34 year old KDB, 33 year old Bernardo, and braindead Kova that we can now magically judge him on results again with a completely new midfield??

BTW the stream I was watching.. had a commentator say something like.. "Pep has to assemble another title winning squad.. good thing for City fans is he knows what one looks like!"

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.. but yep.. that's the gist of it.

What happened to the fullbacks high and wide system? We have won every game when Pep tried it.

I think Doku and Savio would have thrived more.

Foden and Kevin were dropping so deep already that they might as well have been a deep midfielders.

And I'll say this too, Pep has never been known to make game changing subs barring that game against Villa to win the title, but this season the way he's used or hasn't used the bench is honestly some of the worst I've ever seen from any manager at the top level.

"Apart from that time it won us the league"

Honest to God, this thread.
