Foden is definitely worse this season than last.

But id still prefer him over KdB who has clearly lost the magic.

Or just rotate between them for halves.
The Kev advantage is that he can pass some and tries . Foden isn't even trying these days. He does only the most basic shit other than when he wants to shoot.

Problem I have is Kevs passing is nearly detrimental at times now and because he isnt as precise as before, I think it actively takes away from a more fluid ground game.

It's tactics with Pep.

This game could have been played late '24 and it would look exactly the same.

Just pack the 20yd box and walk the ball in.

It's easy to play against.

Nope, if it was that easy every manager would be winning, being a fickle entitled bunch when it isn't working makes us look small time.

Is that where we are at now?

No, we’re not.

And most of us never have been

But we as fans have every right to question Pep’s team selection and tactics today.

Pep has had one of those infamous team selection and tactics days when everyone watching the match could see it was wrong from the start, and it wasn’t going to work.

He won’t, but god forbid if he starts with the same team next week in the cup final.

It will be all change again for the cup final next week.

If one of them wasn't overplayed earlier in the season and the other wasn't banished to the shadow realm, I'm picking Gundo and Grealish over those two anyday.

I am working with what is known, you are making assumptions.

I didnt base it off this 1 game, but an entire season. Maybe he stops making boneheaded decisions, who knows, but for 8 months (quite a long time) he has made them.

He will with a better team get better results next season, most likely.

But it is very likely he wont be far and above beyond all the other managers tactically like he was in the past as we have seen time and time again this season.

Hence... past his best.
You're basing your views on one season, I'm basing mine on fifteen.

That's fine, but I'm more likely to be right than you are.

Think he cost us today. Big time.

Think he’s cost us an awful lot all season with his selections and, if we don’t get top 5 - which seems likely, I’d let him leave in summer.

It’s not working anymore and I don’t know if he can save it next season. It’s too big of a job.

Did get the starting selection wrong but again the players should have had enough quality to get the win.

Pretty much it, shouldn't have fucked about with the team, the back 4 had to remain unchanged.

Ultimately though it's the players letting the club down, have at look at the back 2 or 3 seasons compared to this season and some of them have fell off a cliff.

The problem with Pep is he is stubborn. He feels an overwhelming sense of loyalty to some players and has a strict view of how football should be played. I think he would benefit from somehow who is willing to challenge him or at least question some choices he makes. I don't know if this comes in the form of a new assistant manager, Khaldoon Or Viana.

We will get top 5 mate surely to fuck, could really do with that lunchtime game tomorrow being a draw, but I’m confident of beating Bournemouth and Fulham even after today’s shit show

We won the CL with Bernardo and Grealish playing important roles on the wings.
Gundo Rodri and Kev. Erl up top.

Essentially 5 midfielders at their peak as witnessed in the demolition of Madrid.

Since then we seem to have bought more direct players to complement Haaland.

Doku and Sav are never going to play like Jack and Bernie.

We seem to be unsure what we want to do.
