He can stay because i cant guarantee we could find a better manager. But, i am now certain we are in the late Arsene Wenger era of Pep.

Decent, albeit sad comparison. :(

Just like anybody who has ever been good at what they do, powers peak, then decline. I feel we need a change for the sake of the squad, they simply don’t look as motivated as City squads have in the not too distant past. If he does stay, fingers crossed for that Tiger Woods masters moment so he can leave on top.

You know what? Today isn’t on him IMO. We had more than enough chances to score. Their keeper should’ve been sent off and we missed a penalty.

What is disappointing, though, is treatment of certain players who have been the best of a bad bunch this season/in recent weeks only to be dropped for a final.

100%

He is not the best manager in football anymore. At best he is now just a decent manager.

Perhaps his clout might help us recruit some top talent. But i cant say his genius adds much to the table anymore. And sometimes, it takes away from the table.

Stay or leave our time as the absolute best English team is now on shaky ground.

It feels like late Wenger at Arsenal and late Mourinho at Chelsea.
We are too 5 at best and miles behind Liverpool . We have the most lethal finisher in football and pep’s awful tactics can’t get a tune out if him to the point that he probably wants out . Slag ne if but I’m not arsed if he goes end of the season . A legend for city and what a team we had but we need to start again .

The last thing any of us want is for Pep to go out under a cloud, so perhaps it's best to tear up the extension and part ways.
Looks burnt out, and judging by selections recently his minds elsewhere.
Go home with our appreciation and fix your marriage sir
People keep missing the looking burnt out part. He looks absolutely miserable, not like someone itching for the opportunity to rebuild. He won’t get sacked and I don’t want him to be, but do we actually think he still has the fight in him to do another overhaul? He’s earned the right to do what he wants without the club pressuring him, but there’s a non-zero chance he decides it’s best for him to walk.

I'm nowhere near being 'pep out' but there are shades of both Erikson and Mancini's final seasons about this. I wonder if he's already gone at the end of the season and the extension was just to put the press off the scent :-(

Some of the lack of motivation is simply aging. And some is just awful tactics by the manager. He is putting the ball in the hands of the worst technically or the worst decision makers.

This is bad coaching 101. Your CBs should nor be your decision makers.

Point well made.

This is what i believe is the case. Or perhaps its what i want but just too scared to say :(

Not million miles out. The only reason Gundo is getting more game time is down to Rodri's absence.
Nico g didn’t do fuck all wrong and he’s been benched for no reason same as the Uzbek lad who must be thinking why did I come here because playing fucking crab arkanji over him and nunes is bollox and yes we can’t win every season and pep is due an off year but this picking his fucking favourites is too much now and it needs taking out if his hands I mean fucking standing there just staring at the pitch untill he 75 minutes is not fucking good enough .

He needs a break from football imo, but it needs a Khaldoun type character to make him realise this, without Pep thinking he’s being pushed out the door.

Still being eased in. Both had a few issues in their game to be ironed out.

Love him but it’s time to go.

No point staying another season for a new manager to try work with about 6 new players pep wants

He’s exhausted & he’s given us everything
