Tough shit, no person is bigger than the club. His reluctance to beef up the squad pre season and pushing worn out ageing players a season too far has cost us dearly. As a result we picked up injuries galore and had to spend a fortune in January, some of whom now look like panic buys. Reaching a cup final and if we scrape a champions league spot doesn't mask what was piss poor planning and preparation and if we do miss out on the top five it has cost us massively.

Pep is 100 percent correct here. This season was fatigue/injuries/age and players losing the hunger. You can’t manage a squad that has players sitting in the stands and expect said player to jump in and out when needed.

He has never worked that way and he won’t start now. Thats why Kev is leaving and why others will aswell.

We have a very capable Rodri backup also.

6 to go and 4 in is my guess. Some young players will go on loan.

Nailed the starting line up today, didn't see the pre-match thread but I bet the usual suspects weren't happy when he named the OAP's.

Bar Southampton (A) and United (A) he's done well this calendar year. His team on Saturday should have got the job done too but let him down with the finishing (and the officials).

Get the first choice targets this summer, Rodri fit and we'll be back at it next year.

In 2025 we actually have picked up results:


I know there are different circumstances for other clubs etc...but the form has been better. I'm confident it'll be much better next season.

You can’t have a small squad with unreliable and injury prone players taken up spots. He’s going to have to trust a lot of young players aswell.

Even after this season he’s adamant he needs a smaller squad of pretty much just match day players to create a tight knit group. If there are a slew of injuries he’ll call up EDS players.

So we should see a few leaving if we’re bringing any in. Wonder what it means for the young lads we bought…loans maybe?

Another depressing looking team. Only positive for me is Nunes back at right back. At least its another decent provider for Erling.

I think he wants the usual 18-20 strong 1st team players which will include 4 or 5 signings. Which means I expect a trimming of the current squad.

I think the old lads and injury prone lads could be on the chopping block.
