Pep - Manager of the Season 2017/18

You think if the rags and peg had broke all these records and won the league and league cup double we would be having this debate? No me either!

At least Pep has two trophies to dampen the blow.

Still though if he doesn’t win it, what a Fucking joke. How petty can you get?

Victims FC will hold plenty if candles.
Good points though.
Hopefully the Bitterarti vote will get split between Dyche, Hodgson, Klipperty and the Spanish Waiter.

How the fuck is Klopp in any discussion for Premier league manager of the year? They're likely to finish 4th some 25 points off the top. They've not beat, Spurs, Chelsea, United or Spurs this season. Narrowly beating us once. You arguably say they've regressed in the league.

Hmmm, Ancelloti, Mancini, Pellegrini....anyone seeing a trend?

No, not the “Johnny Foreigner coming over and winning trophies” part, the “i” part!

We’re just lucky Guardiola ends with an “a”! ;-D

Course, if he doesn’t win it, it HAS TO be the old “foreign manager, foreign money” bias.

One other thing, too, none of those three would suck up for the media, high five them at their briefings, or give them daily headlines and clicks!!! (See what I did there? Didn’t realize until I read it to myself!)

He has redesigned the English game, after everyone initially said the English game was going to kick the stuffing out of his Continental tiki taki, and EVERYONE who played the game sees what he has achieved and marvels.

It’s Pep or it’s a joke.

Had any other person on the planet achieved what Guardiola has achieved then there wouldn't be the slightest discussion as to alternatives. It's the fact that he's an employee of the Good Sheikh, plies his trade at MCFC and that debars him from receiving what Ferguson, Clough, Paisley, Shankly or Busby would have had thrust on them had they come anywhere near the season Pep's had! We know the score, we know the game.

Any other manager receiving MotS ahead of Guardiola would know that it's a hollow award!

To be fair Pep's not proven that he could succeed as manager of S****horpe yet, so he probably doesn't deserve the award.......

Regarding Ancelloti missing out, if I recall he lost out to a manger who gained promotion and I think they then went on to qualify for Europe at the first attempt, I can't recall who it was. However if this is correct then I can see an argument about them getting the MOTY award as it would be an exceptional effort. However this was not the case with Mancini or Pelle, certainly not the case this year either.

If Pep doesn't win the award then there is some corruption going on.

Nope, Liverpool were the lowest ranked qualifiers that year in 7th, Villa 6th, ourselves 5th, Spurs 4th (Twitcher won MOTY). Ancelotti lost out to the journos best mate.
