Pep - Manager of the Season 2017/18

Two out of four trophies, records galore, improvement of already top class pros, absolutely scintillating football the like of which hasn't been seen in the PL years and Pep for MotS? Not a fucking chance whilst Sky, PigMOL, BT, the Biased Broadcasting Canutes, Rags, and Dippers have one syllable of say! Guardiola could win four out of four, batter the best European team in the final by a shedload and they would still find the most pathetic 'reasons' to give it to Dyche, Howe, Pulis, Moaninho, Pocchetino, Hodgson et al. We know how the system works, and the system cannot offer one jot of recognition as to what has happened on the training grounds of Beswick because it shows that the also-rans can barely hold a candle to the quality of football we have produced all season. And the person responsible? Why, the one they are gonna deny as being the best manager the PL has had!
Victims FC will hold plenty of candles.
Good points though.
Hopefully the Bitterarti vote will get split between Dyche, Hodgson, Klipperty and the Spanish Waiter.

Why do people in this country think finishing 7th is a monumental achievement? The “yay, we’re the least shite of all the shite” award does not make you a worthy winner of Manager of the Year.

There are seasons when the award shouldnt just go to the manager of the PL winners, when "outperforming on a shoestring budget" is the correct criteria. But there are some years when the PL winning manager's achievements are on such a level that it really should be a no brainer. Ferguson in 98/99, Wenger in 03/04, Mourinho in 04/05. And Pep in 17/18.

20 times out of 24 seasons this has been running the Manager of the Season has come from the Champions - so only on 4 occasions in the last 24 years have the Champions not had the Manager of the season and strangely 2 of those 4 were our 2 Premier League titles in that time, hmmm.........

Mancini was baffling not to get it but Pellegrinii in his first season in English football wins a league and cup double was more baffling.
Mourinho then returns to Chelsea the following season, wins the same league and cup double and is presented with MOTY....

Could it have been because voting takes place before the final match? In both 11/12 and 13/14 it looked as if we had blown it and would finish 2nd. If voting takes place before the title has been decided the panel are more likely to vote for an underdog rather than risk voting for the manager who ends up 2nd. Didnt Ancelotti lose out in the season when Chelsea clinched the title on the final day?

Ancelotti missed out after winning the League and FA Cup double and setting the PL goalscoring record. That was fucking criminal.

I think that might just be the worst one. Losing to Harry Redknapp who finished 4th and won no trophies

That's what I've always thought. And tbh that can only be the answer to Mancini & Pellegrini not getting it.
