Pep: 'The players deserve a full stadium, we need our fans!'

Chelsea fan in smacked arse shocker.

Loving the lesson in financial fair play from a fan of a club owned by Roman and the fake concern for the little clubs pmsl.
except that the money we spend is not from Roman, we spent alot of his money in the past, yes, but right now, we are spending our own money, generated from revenues, comercial deals etc which is one of the reasons our big spending has toned down

If City fans don't understand why UEFAs shitty anthem gets booed they need to give their heads a wobble. These cunts introduced a wholly unfair FFP regulation, then bent the rules in order to punish City, who had gone out of their way to conform. Gill's current attempt to skew prize money in favour of the 'elite' clubs shows they're still at it. This organization is corrupt to the core and I'll continue to boo the anthem unless their is a direct appeal from the club's hierarchy to stop doing it.
And the Premier League and FA are squeaky clean? At least be consistent and boo everyone. And boycott watching the world cup while you're at it.

I hardly think we have "gone out of our way to conform" with FFP. FFP was a load of rubbish, and we went out of our way to push its boundaries as far as possible. We were also financially strong enough to suck up a fine that would have crippled worse-off clubs.

I'm sure you personally have the highest principles, but imo many people just enjoy having their cake and eating it, too: being a massive club and still feeling victimised.

FFP is not about regulating the rich clubs to protect smaller clubs, it's about trying to preserve the reduced power of clubs like AC Milan and Manchester Utd. Who drafted the rules? The owners of those clubs for self-interest not for the interest of football.

You also do not know about how the rules were implemented and measured against City. City made big efforts to comply and thought they had, but they moved the goalposts, but that is all boring now.
fair enough mate, wasnt triyng to start a fight :)

What do you think we are spending now?

So is ours, the fact is you were allowed to invest, as anyone should be.

We're at that point finally as well. Not bad to be at this stage considering it was less than 10 years since the takeover. If the bossman was to sell up tomorrow he'd have made a profit I reckon.

Which is why you will probably finish outside the top 6 again,ah well

Anyway can we get back on topic please as this thread is not about our finances or FFP as much as the Chelsea fan would like to make it.

Cheers.

We boo the anthem because the bastards have stitched us up at every opportunity and are still trying to do so, just look at the new ratings based on who has won the damned thing going back decades! Sorry Pep but as a fan base we have always been off the wall and stubborn, that's why we stuck with this club for 35+ years when we were on the whole utter dog shit.

Why? Sorry but the booing the anthem is moronic....what are you trying to acheive? There is no scenario whereby your booing leads to anything positivie on or off the pitch. Time to move on cheer the team and enjoy what a fucking privelige it is to watch with the best manager and best players in the world....im sorry but they deserve better.

Do you boo when we score as well? Presumably not so you do actually want us to do well in the competition.

Here's your answer.

Less left early last night compared to normal. Maybe the stay aways are also the early leavers
Nah. We keep going to the end now. No easing off so always the chance of more goals.
Anyhow those in the North Car Park will have to wait an hour to get out regardless of whether they leave early or not.

Why did they stop selling tickets at the city shop in town? That would be so much more convenient.
Anybody know if there's plans to start doing this again? Just that alone would guarantee a load more people through the gate

Oh, and fuck UEFA. Any organisation that allows being a minute late for kick off to be punished more than racism can get fucked.

The Premier League and FA aren't squeaky clean, but as far as I'm aware they haven't unfairly imposed a massive fine on my football club, and imposed squad restrictions on a club with zero debt, in the guise of FFP. I think it's incredible that the fans of a high profile club who could easily adopt a 'I'm alright Jack' attitude continue to highlight the corrupt nature of the governing body by booing their anthem. Once this is done we all get fully behind the team so I fail to see the negative.

Can you clarify that ? i have no idea what you mean.

I think the negative is that the ref's take umbrage to the fact we are booing the competition that they strive to be in. It leads to one sided reffing.

It doesn't help when you can't buy tickets yesterday either I'm sure more people would of gone too. I'll keep booing the anthem too. On the plus side I'm sure every game will be full now.

Hard to disagree - we do need a full stadium and to get behind the team. I sign up to the CL ticket scheme in 93:20 but last year the pricing at times was ridiculous- I'm still in the scheme but I did feel taken advantage of last year. For season ticket holders the club should charge £10 game and try to fill the place. Do a separate CL season ticket - for non season ticket holders - a bet loads would make the step up to a full season ticket by the summer. Essentially if the club priced it right we'd fill the ground.
