You see the filth at away games and the Geordies and Mackems and it is full of fans in their late teens and early 20s.
i think its a lot easier to get tickets for their games and usually they weren't charged top prices for games like we were. with the 30 quid tickets that could change. they along with lots of other teams have had no success whatsoever for 50 odd years and yet still attract tones of young lads. the higher you go up the league the older the away fan base tends to be imo.
united have the same people going to every away game.

It wasn't just the success those bastards along with their referee mates enjoyed that is affecting us now, it was the limited size of Maine Road, once we were down to a 36k capacity and proper shit, it was almost impossible to get tickets for your kids for games.The truth is we lost a generation of fans to the success on the dark side. Those over a certain age are the ones who didn't give up on the club in its darkest days.
If they don't get into the habit of going early on, it's not something they will pick up when they're older. I think this is the main reason for the aging fan base (which I accept I am one of now)

the problem is if your talking about local fans ( beswick / areas around the etihad) they are some of the poorest places in the country. the majority ( just my opinion) aren't gonna pay 600/700 quid for a season ticket, i think the majority of season ticket holders are from sk8 or sale post codes and same for united. . games like tonight are a great chance for them to go though. i think we should have a 21-26 age category on tickets that would help massively.

look at most european games tonight and there are loads of empty seats , and they had a bit longer than 18hours to organise their journey/attendance of the game , its just the Rag media continually berating our support ,proof that if you tell a lie long enough people will eventually beleive it , (despite averaging over 95% capacity throughout the season). But the stadium emptying from 75 minutes onwards for every game is baffling , and we deserve all the shit thrown at us , it a disgrace . As for the anthem , i will always boo it , because UEFA is run by a bunch self serving crooks.
