yet none of you know him personally to judge and still taking out the fact he has done absolutely nothing wrong in the past 2 seasons to be judged as disgusting..

If we talk purely football he has been one of the most consistent central defenders in Europe has a vast amount of champions league experience of which we need badly at the back.

ok you can carry on bashing him now.
Was it not Valencia at home last season when he dived to the floor holding his face when he wasn't even touched?

Wouldn't want him to come to the Prem, never mind City.

He's a fantastic player, better than Lescott, better than Kolo, better than Richards (who we assume would act as cover if we signed no new defenders). Before Real's tepid season just gone he was spoken of as one of the very best in the world along with T. Silva, Kompany, Vidic, Chiellini, etc. And he's calmed down a little. He still got involved in the Mourinho-led scuffles that we don't have, but you won't see him assaulting players anymore. La Liga averages 3 times more yellow and red cards than the Premier League and Pepe got 7 yellows and 0 reds last year. Do the maths. Actually, I think he'd love it here as there is more leniency and he'd put attackers off with little nudges in the back and such. We've been far too nice at times on the pitch while EVERY top club in the world has a cynical side...

We're being linked with this idiot again today.
If we buy this dipstick it will be a fucking disaster.
Nastasic is fantastic so he isn't needed - even as back up.
He would be sent off for fun and would impede progress of the Young dutch lad as Nastasic's cover.

JUST NO ON SO MANY LEVELS!

100% this, screw Madrid and Pepe can take a jump

-- Thu Jun 27, 2013 1:45 pm --

The answer is there Chiellini (this should have done with the Tevez deal)

The difference is Juventus won't sell their top players anymore. Chiellini even stayed with Juve when they were demoted to Serie B and there is no chance he'd leave, whereas Pepe may be available with the overhaul at Real...

perfect - him at one end and Douglas Costa & Suarez at the other - well for a couple of matches when they weren't all banned.

Between the three of them, they got 1 red card last season (of course Suarez got bans for those other things). They're twats but Pepe and Costa at least are clever twats who know the 'game', unlike a Lee Cattermole who is a twat but also thick.

Chiellini ! Jesus.

Pepe is a top defender, Chiellini would be a joke in the Premier league. The only decent defending he does is based on fouling & he would get pulled up every time in the Prem. He's just had his arse spanked yet again on live TV in the Confed Cup, & people want to sign him, still ? His defending v Fred, was as bad as it gets.

Pepe is a no go for me. Too old, too erratic and would concede a lot of free kicks that would cost us goals. Should be looking for a much cheaper alternative.

Marca claims that we will offer 30m euros & double wages !!!!!!!

The translation from Spanish :

The Manchester City continues to insist on the signing of Pepe, though it declared Florentino transferable. The 'citizens' would provide 30 million euros to convince Madrid, an attractive figure for a player who lost his starting job last season.

Pepe has a contract until 2016 but it is not essential that the player came to Madrid from Porto. In fact, Madrid has five plants, since Nacho perform at the central defense next season even though Mou bet on him as a winger.

The City aims to tempt the Portuguese defender with a sharp rise in wages, it could offer almost double what he earns in Madrid, about 3.5 million euros.
