Feel free to correct me, but wasn't the year before this one Pepe's best season? Then this year he got injured and fell out of the side and couldn't get back in it as Varane was so exceptional in his absence. I don't see how that makes him "past it"

First of all, I would like to say I'm glad we're all on the same wavelength with our usernames :D
But I can't agree with you on Pepe. That isn't passion, that's assault. That's a disgusting, aggressive, vile, barbaric, pathetic excuse of a challenge. And to follow it up with cheap pinches, punches and stamps in horrific. I sincerely hope the guy never comes near the club. I would support him if he joined as I would feel obligated to do so, I hate him more than Rooney or Ronaldo.
