We need him for his Champions League experience if nothing else. Nastasic is going to be one of the best defenders in the world but we cannot burn him out. If we do get someone in like Pepe, Nasty will still get plenty of game time in this season with possibly 70 games to play. He can only get better learning off Vinny and Pepe but let's take our time with him, we don't want him suffering from over playing.

After Pepe had talks with Reals' representatives and Ancelotti stating the importance of the player for his team, I think we should silently give up on this player and look elsewhere. Even Real are short on CD's and there are not many around we can go after. At least not many that are expected to live up to the standards we are chasing.
Still think it's a big gamble to start the season with the knowledge of a Kompany-injury leaving Pellegrini to make a mix out of Nastasic/Lescott/Richards/Garcia.

demichelis is past it and is not agile at all anymore and is extremely slow. its gotta be Pepe for me and if we can move kolawobbles on and bring in coentrao as the replacement it would be some fucking coup and if it funds madrids bid for bale that all the more better
