Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Double signing in Jan I reckon. Pep
Will extend and Messi will sign a pre contract ready for the summer

Simply a case of the best manager in world football wanting to carry on managing the best club in world football, supported by the best fans in world football, all overseen by the best owners in world football..!

Everything is here for Pep..

Leaving for ANY other club at this stage of his career would be a HUGE backward step..

Pep knows this, the club knows this, the owners know this and we know this..!

Buckle up, it's going to be a fkin brilliant time to be a blue..!

The Media, SKY, BT and the American owned red shirts will be fkin gutted..!

Very humble, or arrogant dependent which way you lean, but think it’s a way of saying to the players to trust in his system or he is gone.

Encouraging noises from Pep I would love him to stay and continue with his rebuilding. Once he’s committed I can see top class players wanting a slice of this. Haaland for starters please.

It's becoming a,stick to beat him us and the club with. Even if he intends to go in June he should sign a three year one with suitable get out clauses just to stop the speculation.

Can't see a manager like Pep ever becoming a youth coach! More likely to be at Director of football level imo
I disagree, unless he loses his intense love for the game with age, I think he would revel in it again. Watch how he sometimes rushes on to the pitch after games to make coaching points to the young players eg. after the Marseilles game or remember him coaching Nathan Redmond after a Southampton game . There is great personal reward for a natural coach in seeing young players improve with that coach's help, like a teacher with the dedication of a life long vocation.

as i see it its as simple as: if city improve their playing and are serious contenders come the end of year he stays, if not then he's gone. I love Pep, but there are coaches out there who could do much better with the current squad, i think (Ten Hag, Nagelsman, Rose, the Salzburg guy)

Never take much notice what Pep says publicly, he is very diplomatic and says the things people want to hear.

I would expect we'll know before the new year if he is staying or not, if he is staying, I would have thought an extension would have already been announced, if only to stop the speculation and particularly for the benefit of the dressing room.

Personally I think his time is nearly up, but if that is so, our future is still as bright as ever. Still a very good squad of players just in need a small refresh and some exciting young players in the academy waiting for their chance.

As previous posters have stated, our last 3 managers have won the title and I am sure the next manager will do likewise.

personal think covid will play big part not just pep but whole host of players and employees, if financially stable why wouldnt you want to go home to be with family

He only does that if city win and he rubbing it in. The Redmond thing would not have happened if we did not get the winner, and it was massively disrespectful to the other manager after a close game.

He will not do something that is low profile that is for sure.

I wouldn’t blame him going at the end of the season.

Who’d want to stay in this clown show of a country.
