Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Our defensive acquisitions have been poor, Walker and Laporte apart.

The money we have spent looking for a LB for over 5 years is a disgrace and we are as weak now as before.

Not replacing Kompany disgrace, not sorting out the John Stones issue , a disgrace. Giving Otto a new contract at his age and with doubts whether he wanted to stay was strange.

We have blown a major opportunity to win three titles in consecutive seasons and blow the chance to win the Champions League which may never be as winable as it was this season.

We have made major mistakes as a club and it's not the first time that after success we have been utterly complacent and arrogant.

One thing that does worry me, many people think Pep is doing us a favour with his presence at our club, BOLLOCKS, he should be the one who is greatful , this is a wonderful club to be in charge of, he wants for nothing and is given everything he demands, maybe that's the issue!

I did see this post before I posted

Fuck me, we lost a football game and then 40 pages of 'get rid' shite appears.
To be fair it's the end of a poor season, really. Most can take a defeat but it's the number of shockers we've had this year that is raising so much doubt for me. After his first season I was suspicious that Pep could get players to believe in his system but he proved me wrong. Can he do it a second time? Not too sure about it.

Big Question.

Does Khaldoon stick with Pep or Twist.

Never thought I`d ever consider this but, I think this is a valid question.
It's very valid and maybe a decision has to me made very, very soon.

We need partially rebuilding , I don't want a man in charge who will probably walk in 12 months time.

And if he does want to stay for another 1-2 years, does the club want him?

The club want to win the Champions League, a serious and honest question, is Pep the man to help us achieve that?

Why isn't it down to pep? We should of replaced vinny last summer but we signed rodri and cancelo
It's not down to Pep because he isn't in charge of transfer negotiations. Based on reliable reports, he was as angry as us fans at the fact that we let United sign Maguire and didn't have a replacement lined up.

They do want to win the CL. As it stands if Pep stays we will do exceptionally domestically. Few FA cups and Carling cups here and there. But the CL is anyone's call irrespective of who we buy. Does this hugely expensive project and one of the highest paid manager at the helm is for winning the PL or the CL or both.
This is something the board may have to think about. Because as far as I am concerned, along with a lot of other posters, CL with Pep is a very unlikely scenario.

You think Pep's crunching numbers in his basement coming up with transfer targets? He probably tells Txiki the profile of player that he wants, who then works with the scouting and analytics department to find the the best players for that role. Sure he might put in a phone call at the behest of the club to convince a player to join, but all transfer selections and negotiations are handled by Txiki and more than a dozen unnamed people at the club. Don't blame Pep for what he's not responsible for.

He needs to ask for a striker who can tap the ball in from 5 yards.

(Sorry Raheem)
