Might be 1 year might be 2 either way don’t think Pochetino will hang around. For me unless they go elsewhere in the meantime, Nagelsmann or Ten Hag.

A bit premature this thread and in any case given where we are Pep should either now commit to at least three years or walk away and let someone else rebuild things.

If Pep were to go I cannot believe that Vinny has not been mentioned. He knows the club, loves the club. Lampard seems to be doing a good job at Chelsea, and that twat at Old Toilet. Both ex players both with limited previous top level management experience. Neither seem to have a problem in tempting big names to play for them.

I suspect Vinny had a lot more influence off the pitch than many realised and his departure may have contributed to some of this seasons problems in more ways than we think.

We're not a team to give to to an untested manager on their second job. Would be great if Vinny managed us at some point, but can't see it happening for ten years.

fair enough - i would rather play the most attractive football the league has ever seen, win lots of domestic cups/titles on the way and if we can get a bit of luck (which is also what you need) keep cracking away at the CL. However the CL is put on a pedestal by the media (higher than the world cup when they are talking about what players have won what -for instance David Silva - which astounds me). i also recognise that the owners want the CL but as a fan (and this for me has never changed ever( the domestic comps (esp the league) is always the first and foremost.

I would not want otwin it for instance the way Chelsea last did in one of the most boring games i have ever witnessed

this isn’t a bout a frustration with one game. This is about the season and failing to deal with problems before that. This season in the league we lost to Liverpool, United twice, beat Chelsea but lost to them too, drew with spurs but lost to them as well!
That is not good enough!!

Having a defence that can withstandNorwich and Newcastle most of the time, and an attack that can score tons past them Isn’t enough if we keep getting beat in the big games.
