Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

He's pathetic - Guardiola - this is no coincidence, on day of us not getting Kane, com'on! as much as we love him, we all know he’s a proper sulker - if this is not news, why release it today? he’s taken the wind out of my sails.

Funny how this has been made public straight after the Kane news, get the feeling Pep's a bit pissed off and maybe promises have been broken.

Which is bloody depressing considering we had the perfect chance to do it in Porto until he tinkered unnecessarily with the fucking team

true

but i still feel the striker or lack of a fully fit and bang in form striker was the reason why we lost
we have all the tools and options but the missing link is the striker

i understand grealish deal and he has that bit of difference style and takes on players and commits them
but the guy with freezing cold blood running through his veins in that moment score the winning goal
chelsea knew and did us 3 times because of the same reasons they did not fear the attack formation in the false 9

Usual soundbites from Pep, he has said from day one. He will be here until he feels like its not working anymore and there is nothing further to do.

l agree. That's hardly a categorical thing. More like a casual aside, actually. Which is being misreported and distorted by an out of control media. A bit like the media coverage of Afghanistan. The bastards aren't trying to report the news. They're trying to MAKE the bloody news. Shitheads.

Pep was going to eventually leave cause he never stays in one place for a long time and at City he is going to complete 7 years and thats huge for him.
A manager at the level of Pep staying at an elite club for seven years is basically unheard of in the post-Ferguson era. It's longer than anyone imagined.

dont know if pep talk has anything with this but suddenly city could get a striker

I think the total lack of an enforcer in the midfield killed us… we had enough to create chances upfront but never got the chance because the cut is wide open at will.. a bizarre team selection

i feel the false 9 is easy to setup against if you know what your doing and have pace on the break
we or i should say pep's false 9 is so top heavy and the gap from going forward to losing the ball and gap is impossible to defend when the defence has to turn around and run back

speed kills and the lack of city fire power (striker) means we keep the ball far to much. it goes from left to right in looking for the opening. lose the ball and 7 city players are in their half and you fancy it on the break

look its small little things and we are champions of england and league cup winners playing that way
so we are winning silverware and pep will be judge on wining silverware

I would understand him leaving to manage a national side. If he leaves what happens to the other two?
