Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

How would we feel if he finished his time with us to manage England?

He's made it clear he wants an international job. I cant see him managing Spain because of his politics.

I also think it's not too bad an idea for the club to be already looking at potential replacements. Checking contracts etc.

The bloody daily mail have the headline news about pep definitely leaving. Please Mcfc do not make the mistake mufc made when Ferguson said he was calling it a day. Their team fell apart
And is still failing apart with Fergie Jr steering the ship. Fuck the mail, their agenda is clearly orchestrated to attack ethic minorities.

Good shout. He would do a top job with England until the final where he would play rice in goal lol.

like i said many times in the kane thread.. pep is leaving when the deal runs out and this is why the panic signings of kane and grealish. its like we are trying to buy the champions league for pep and see him off with crown champions of europe..

this season has now took a big turn with kane not coming and we are looking to ronaldo to dig us out of a hole
(striker less) forget saying jessu sterling torres KDB foden can play there ?? am not buying it ?
i also said that KDB is not happy with the missing striker and looked to have a one on one with khaldoon
and he promised KDB we will back and win the champions league

what are manchester city plans for life after pep ? does the club rip up the old project of the Spanish mafia and go down a new route ? the so called DNA of the club needs to change if we want to keep at the top of the tree.
we have seen in the last 2 seasons that clubs are catching up and working out pep and the setup

we can keep the club tick over nicely in being a top 4 club... but life after pep will be hard because of the winning mentality and picking up silverware like its fallen leaves
Honestly that’s the most stupid, spoilt, childish post I’ve ever read on here - and that’s saying something.

We all knew it was coming to an end at some point. TBH I feel a little sick at the news but I'm sure the rags are revelling in the news. Hopefully we'll plan ahead and find a suitable replacement to keep us competing at the top table. I've said all along be careful what you wish for and be thankful and enjoy the successful times because they don't last forever. Looking forward to seeing what Pep can do in the next two years.

I'm thinking Mick McCarthy would be a good fit for us....The manager that tells his own players how crap they are. Hahaha

Then again there's always big Sam

He has been amazing for us,we could not have done better, the football in recent years has been exceptional and the feel good factor around the club has been incredible.

However, after the CL final,i'll find it much easier seeing him depart than i otherwise would have done. That debacle has definitely scarred his tenure while also removing a percentage of his 'untouchability'.

Still always be the greatest ive ever witnessed, and ill be forever grateful for such......but he can definitely be replaced, and, the point i make,is that i would previously have struggled with that concept.

The club has plenty of time to get it right too,so no excuses!

I'd put money on him addressing this in his pre arsenal press conference by pulling back the comments saying something like he does not know what will happen in the future, maybe city will sack him before the end of his contract or maybe he will decide to stay longer if he feels good and City want him to stay.
Timing !!!

Expected this. It's a significant achievement itself to stay at this club for 7 years without getting sacked. Hope he can add another PL and FA Cup in this time. Not putting much hope for the CL, but would be great if he could do it.

I just hope the hard news doesn’t create the lack of significant positive transfer movement for the next few years.

I think there are some players who might decide not to come, or sign a 5 year contract, with Pep gone at the end of next season.

Let the new manager guesswork begin!
