Uncle/Aunt situation, a win would just be masking the long running issue of selection. If Dias had headed that Gundogan cross or Sterling slotted home that 1v1, people wouldn’t be mentioning Pep

I am all for him staying, but has to be committed to a long term contract. Another year or so would just create problems. He will however need to adjust to the style of football now played in the premier league. Pep changed the premier league with a brand of football not seen before, and that was spectacular. Klopp reacted with a way to beat that system, Pep needs to respond again. I am sure he can do that, but he really needs a strong number two, someone who is not afraid to question him and have his own ideas. Most football fans are fickle, of course they are. It’s very tribal everyone wants to win at all cost. Not saying it’s a good thing but ‘that’s life’ as Esther used to say. What's to say a new manager would be an instant success?
He's an astute manager and I'm sure he'll work it out if given the time, I just feel that everything he's done and won for the club we should afford him some patience to see if he can get us through this transitional period, football fans are fickle though
We shouldn’t be in transition though. If our signings since Pep took over we’re better then the transitions would be almost seamless. Just like how we should have signed a striker in the summer so that when Serge leaves he would already be settled in and used to our style of play.Be careful what you wish for guys, we're a team in transition which is also being hampered by injuries, we'll come good again when things settle down and fitness returns.
I never thought I'd see the day when a City fanbase became spoilt and entitled, I suppose that's what comes with success
He does say that a squad peaks in the third year of his tenure and there might be some truth in that, has he got the mental strength to see us through the transition for his squad to peak again in year 6 or does he feel he's taken us as far as he can and walk?I am all for him staying, but has to be committed to a long term contract. I guess only Pep can answer that, and we will have to wait for the answer a little while longer. He does say that a squad peaks in the third year of his tenure and there might be some truth in that, has he got the mental strength to see us through the transition for his squad to peak again in year 6 or does he feel he's taken us as far as he can and walk?
Doubt he’s that arsed given how long he’s been in the gameDon't need crowds when there's a number of media outlets out there that can do a much better job
Problem is we will have to sell these players for a massive loss . Sterling on his day is still a world class player but he is knackered .It could all be part of a masterplan to soften the blow of his exit.
Yep,he hasn't lost the plot at all.....playing Mahrez,Sterling,Rodri, and Gundogan in the same 11 is in fact genius.
Would you trust him to identify the right players in the summer? Serious question, left back, striker and a centre mid.
I wouldn’t trust our director of football that’s for sure .and also didn’t all our. In juries start when our physio went to Liverpool.Would you trust him to identify the right players in the summer? Serious question, left back, striker and a centre mid.
Pep doesn't identify the players: that's not his job.
He will be part of the process and he may request certain players but it's the job of the DoF and scouting team to identify players that meet the requirements of the manager.
If he keeps playing Gundogan and Rodri as a pair every week which the world and his wife know slows us down stifles creativity and gives every team the chance to beat us and pisses fans off then I can’t see him getting another contract as this approach will only get us Top 6.. wtf start with the team that struggled to break Porto down until FODEN and TORRES came on with pace and desire. The result would have been different today with the 11 that finished the Porto game.Problem is we will have to sell these players for a massive loss . Sterling on his day is still a world class player but he is knackered .
I wouldn't trust us to identify the right players, i would imagine it's a joint decision though, DOF , Pep, scouts etc.Would you trust him to identify the right players in the summer? Serious question, left back, striker and a centre mid.
