Have a vague memory of it being ringway probably in the early 70s, which I’d forgotten, haven’t heard it called that for at least 40 years though.It was called Ringway in the 70's.

To me as a Mancunian it has always been Ringway and always will be although l do sometimes use that useful term that many local people use and call it 'the airport'.
