Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Next manager will be young IMO with the right philosophy. No point worrying about it until it happens. The club succeeded before Pep. We might not dominate like we have done but that is not normal tbf.

Anyway, all our players will want to leave, we will go back to competing for 4th and all will be well for the G14.

Now where did I put my Chelsea top? ;)

"until Chelsea this season" exactly, sorry for not being happy at the slow decline of squad quality, given only couple of years ago we were miles ahead of the rest.
The slow decline is only in your head. No decline over the last 4 years. We may or may not replace Aguero this summer, we may or may not have a drop off this season. If we do we’ll fix it.

That doesn't read like a concrete plan to leave after 7 years to me.

If he feels he has more to do at City and he has the energy for it, he'll extend IMO.

Hopefully, it will be because players like Delap, Doyle, Romeo Lavia, Palmer, McAtee(alongside Foden and Torres) have broke through to the first team. Then, he decides they are playing so good, that he's having too much fun to move on just yet. That's because he wants to shove it in the faces of every media **** going, while they smash straight through every cartel club they come up against. To show them, that it's never been about the money, only about having the right players. [Ok, that many players coming through would be too good to be true but it's my fantasy football dream, ok?]

That said, 7 years is far longer than anyone said he'd commit to any club before he came to City, let alone City themselves. As a club, we should be planning well in advance for the right person to replace him. As fans, we should be grateful for what we've already had and start getting used to the idea, that even if he does extend, it wont be for a long period. Although, if you're reading this Pep, 10 is a much rounder number, don't you think? ;)

Our squad has not declined from 2017/18? Sorry but that just isnt true.
No one will get it and rightly so because we won PL last season. Once pep leaves we have to go through a major squad change. New wingers, strikers, fulls backs, DMs etc

We nearly won it all last season. We looked the most balanced we have ever been under Pep. We’re better at the back and in midfield. Sergio has left, but replacing him is very difficult.
I did not say we weren't good, but our squad quality has absolutely declined from the 100 point season. In terms of pure performance, that was our best season under Pep too.

I disagree. We’re better all over the pitch than we were in 17/18, apart from a goalscorer. 17/18 team were great to watch, but I don’t think they would beat last seasons team.

It’s not a slow decline. We’ve got the number 1 and number 2 chance creators.

We just have to use the guy that plays up front for Spain more.

Why? What are you going to do differently now that you know?
I meant it out in the open for the club, not me personally.

The decline in the squad would be much sharper and harsher if he just fucked off at the end of next season suddenly.

If the squad knows now privately, it’s no differently to it being news.
