Pep's contract situation

Pep can leave with my blessing tomorrow, Manchester City has been around for 130 years and will be around forever and the club is bigger than any manager/player/owners

The Fans are the most important asset to the club, The fans past or present or in the good or bad times have been the witnesses to the drama of a match day, The stories that have unfolded over the years, Only us City fans know how it feels to be blues,

Every owner, Every manager, and Every player, That Comes and Goes leaves their mark, But the fans turn up to witness the next capture,

We will go on and on and on on on
Nothing lasts forever but I get your point. Nobody even Pep is bigger than the club. Mind you I don't know who the fuck we get to fill this guys boots when he's gone.

No, but it’s still going to be a big deal to successfully replace them as and when the time comes.
As it was when when replacing Hughes (who may have been shit) with someone who they felt could win the league....they chose Mancini, and he did.

Pep may have won more (also been here longer).....but their track record isn't too bad ;)

It’s a good job we have a structure that will enable a pain free as possible future after Pep , we have done our greatness and football moves on . The big problem is replacing Txiki , and /or Soriano if they leave soon after him. Nothing lasts forever , otherwise we will become like the rags and Liverpool getting entitled , we have seen the greatest ever football team this country has ever produced. Very very important times ahead for MCFC.

We don’t get anybody to fill his boots cos there’s no coach in the world capable of doing that

Whoever it is has to be given a chance to be their own man and not constantly compared to their predecessor.. that’s the mistake the rags made 10 years ago and are still suffering for it

I’m pretty sure Pep is happy to extend his contract from what he said in an interview recently (Spurs?) where he was saying how great it is at City etc and hinting if they were happy for him to stay he’d be interested etc (how he makes it sound as if there’s some doubt as to whether they want it etc!!)

Be gutted when Pep leaves although I believe we will have the succession planning in place.

We do? Not being funny, but if Pep leaves next season who's in line to take over? Do we have a boot-room situation like the dippers had in the 70's-80's? I don't really see it to be honest, but if there is great.
But if not, we'll either have to get someone in this summer and Pep will groom him, or we'll have to bring someone in from the outside.

I personally think and hope Pep will extend for at least a year after next because we've got the new Club World Cup format next June and i think he'll want to win that. (especially after we do the Treble again next season :-)) Would he then leave in July? not sure he would tbh.

And also, it gives Vinny two years of top level experience at BM, because i hope he's our next manager.
