Pep's contract situation

England have quality players all over the pitch. Probably the healthiest looking squad in international football.
It isn’t just about talented players though with Pep it’s more intelligent players that get what he’s asking and as he doesn’t have the time to drill them they need to understand exactly what he’s telling them. Maybe it will work, be stupid to underestimate Pep, but it wouldn’t surprise me if to make it work he’d need to adapt his methods and tactics a bit. As for the keeper can’t think of any English keeper he could use effectively.

Tolmie is saying that Pep has told the club what his future is, if he is staying why delay the announcement of a new deal and stop the needless speculation?

Never happen, but he could logically keep the city job and manage England part time, not like he doesn’t know all the players. He could have an assistant that did the donkey work. When it is an international break he could manage England, all our players are away anyway. Of course, makes his breaks even more limited

Pep isn't a miracle worker when it comes to England's national side. There are plenty of players who are used to playing in a different playing style altogether and it takes time to get them to fully acclamatising to his methods. Tuchel is one of the better candidates with England's current Golden Generation.

Yes and he can’t just go a get players that fit, goalkeeper especially in englands case. Doesn’t mean it doesn’t appeal to him to try though.
I agree about the goalkeeper and that is key to how he plays.

It took him a full season to get us used to playing his style and it's the same for most players we buy. So it'll probably take the non-City players just as long and with the lack of day to day involvement, getting time to fix things might drive him mad.

The one good thing from England's point of view, is at least Phil would get the ball!
