Pep's First Training Session - Video

Brilliant to watch. He is the real deal no questions about it. The thing I find funny is... some of these players thought Mancini was hard to please... haha. Gonna be some bruised egos when lads straight from the academy get picked because a senior pro doesn't do what Pep asks of them when game time arrives. Can't wait! The future really is blue, lets hope we can show Pep how good we are a s a fanbase when the players perform for us and convince him that he should be here for a long time!

I guess Pep doesn't want other teams seeing what we are working on?

Was it the gk coach who kept chatting with Pep? probably telling him players names haha.

An interesting session by the looks of it, straight into kicking a ball about. Most pre seasons are fitness based for the first sessions I thought, I guess Pep want's to get a few 'ground rules' in place.

Can only guess the Clichy and Horsfield impressed at the end.
I wish I could be at training for one day just to see it all in person. Must be incredible to be coached by Pep.

Most of the training - even the fitness based sessions - Pep makes with the ball.

And the Rondos - or piggy in the middle - are part of every training session, too - and I am sure of that training session, too, just not in the video. Only that Pep and his team will take real care how they are done - with just one contact and with the correct foot playing in a way to your fellow, that he can easily respond. I remember that Pep at the beginning often stopped the rondos as he wanted the players to play them different and "cleaner".

If you want to see full training sessions with Pep you will find a lot of them from Pep's time at Bayern when Bayern streamed them live. In difference to clubs in England or Spain there is a lot of open training sessions in Germany. In summer - during school holidays - there is often up to 3.000 or 4.000 people coming to watch. But the last training sessions prior to matches were behind curtains. I think that Pep at the beginning was sceptical about that open training session but he seemed to like that kind of closer fan contact somehow, too.

Maybe you are in for a treat and City follows that ideas and offers some livestreams in the future, too. Or more open training sessions.

Did you see Toni Duggan and Steph Houghton swooning over Pep?! You can see the charisma oozing from him, no wonder players want to play for him, (imagine if England had a manager like that..... I do try, but all I get is Hodgson face palming, and tearing his hair out as he has a meltdown on the touch line)
Pep is going to get this team purring again

I didn't even bother watching our training sessions under Pellegrini, but I think that'll change this year. It's great to see Pep so involved.

I work with a lad he also works as a coach at city he coaches the under 9s I think, he played at city for the youth teams I asked about pep, he hadn't met him yet but my God was he excited about working with him and learning from him

Yeah and give press conferences a watch which I totally zoned out under Pellers after a couple of months.

I'm glad you mentioned this because I was going to reference this in wondering how much of the training sessions we will see moving forward on CityTV. Once the first teamers are back and/or we are closer to game time we will probably see more general stuff going on again.

I haven't been able to keep up with the updates due to my busy schedule. Can someone please tell me when the first team players will be back and what date are we gonna play the CL play offs?
