Peps Targets

Because they're not very good or too old. I have eyes. I can see Fernando, Delph and mangala aren't technically gifted. Imagine them playing rondo, it'd be like kerplunk. The others are past it.

I imagine well keep gpdelph, mangala and Fernando for the squad but we need 2 new cm, a lb and CB. Probably right back too.
Yep agree with you. To play in a pep side you require a high level of technical ability, a few of our players lack that badly.

Disagree with those saying Delph isn't a Pep player. Versatile, can play in multiple positions, has lots of energy etc.. All qualities Pep looks for in his players.

Don't get me wrong he'd be more of a squad player than a guaranteed starter but I think he could blossom under Guardiola.

Full backs on either side will be required, as Kolorov is wank and Zabba doesn't have the pace or energy to play in a Pep system week in week out. Wouldn't be surprised to see a holding midfielder (Gundogan?), playmaker (Isco, Thiago?) and right winger (fuck knows) come in. Not sure if we need a CB, Jason Denayer is a better player than Stones so there's absoloutely no need to go out and spunk £40m on him unless Vinny's out the door. Other than that we just need to put faith in the youth, some outstandingly talented footballers in the EDS and on loan.

Also who knows, maybe a big star like Pogba or Neymar? The lure of working for Pep can't be underestimated.

Pogba to replace yaya would be a main priority surely.
Think he'll replace bony too.
Apart from that I reckon he'll go with what he's got for at least a year and maybe promote some youth into the capital one and fa cup games.
So for me pogba and cavani to replace yaya and bony.
Cavani? Yukk!!!

Two full backs.
Bring back Denayer. MD to New York or Argentina.
Move YaYa on - has been fantastic for us but now too slow & ineffective. Gundogan would be good option.
I'd like to think there will be at least one marque signing. Pogba, Neymar & dreaming - Messi.

Just hope whoever comes/stays that Pep gets our 11 to play as a team.

About 10 posts before yours @tolmie's hairdoo said the exact same thing as your post apart from wanting Bernat.

Still banging the keep Yaya drum?
Didn't see tolmies post when I wrote that. It is simply common sense. Don't need any inside info to arrive at those conclusions.

As for Yaya, I never banged any drum. Just pointed out that it is simply fans pointing out who they don't like in their " will be leaving" list, rather than any logical reason based on what Pep may like.

Surely, you get the difference don't you?

Only players I would keep Hart, Kompany, Otamendi, Delph, Fernandinho, De Bruyne, Sterling, Iheanacho, Silva and Aguero. Everyone else simply isn't up to the task as much as I hate to say it about Zabbaletta none of them are.

This was my point in that discussion Yaya is great with the ball at his feet but without it a complete liability which is everything against pep's set up

Is correct. I suspect Clichy's homegrown status will see him retained. Zaba's a warrior, our adopted Manc but he could easily be replaced now.

I personally think all fullbacks aren't good enough and the energy and pace of out 2 Spanish youth fullbacks would trump Clichy as they are also homegrown and would do the same as backup.

I can't help but think of all the players we are linked with and expect to keep, who will be the leader(vice captain) when Kompany is injured because at present we really lack one?

Not seen enough of Angelino or Maffeo to be honest so can't comment.

I'd get rid of Sagna, Kolarov and Zaba. Suspect we'll go all out for Gaya due to Pep's love of Valencia left backs, Peps love of Spanish players, Gaya would be up for the move and Valencia would sell. Got a feeling we'll go for Adriano too as he's a freebie and played under Pep before. Don't know what other right back we could go for.

The biggest arguement I can put forward about not selling Zaba is he's Aguero's pal.

I read somewhere a while back pep was a fan of Wendell at Leverkusen who is attracting attention from Real and Barca, let's face it Brazil do make good fullbacks. Gaya did sign a new deal earlier in the season if I'm not mistaken, a new manager in the summer could make a deal difficult also.
The young fullbacks still need to be tested but pep knows the value of youth players and there determination on top of homegrown status.
I'd also add as someone else has said Pep may see Zabbaletta as a holding midfielder, who knows.
