But there is the rub. Just look what having a motivated squad playing under a manager who prepares properly for different opponents can do. Our playing staff is not as bad as people are saying, they are just not motivated to put in that extra 5% that makes all the difference at the top level. If we sign a couple of quality cm's I can see pep converting Fernandinhio into a cb like mascherano, think fern is exactly the type of cb pep likes. Good on the ball, and exceptional at dominating players 1v1 defensively(sp), intelligent, etc. Can see fern being a very important player for pep due to his adaptability for different roles and excelling in each of them.
