Max and Paddy’s Road To Nowhere was about as close as he got and even some of those episodes are good.Has he ever done anything that has flopped?
And he’s always known not when to call it a day with everything. 1-3 series of anything that’s it, time to move on.

No, no, no, wouldn’t work now. Although Kay, Spikey and Fitzmaurice are apparently speaking again, there’s too much baggage I reckon, too much chance of reopening old words.I'd prefer a 3rd series of Phoenix Nights.
