Was that more or less accepted as the reason? People say there’s no secrets in the age of the internet but there was nothing at the time of any substance, other than wild guesses.

No, no, no, wouldn’t work now. Although Kay, Spikey and Fitzmaurice are apparently speaking again, there’s too much baggage I reckon, too much chance of reopening old words.

A one off new years special would be good. Loved Phoenix nights, can't find it anywhere online though. Might have a look on pirate bay.

Yeah first series of Phoenix Nights was brilliant but felt it tipped into self parody in the next series a bit.
Not a huge fan of his live comedy 'remember this...' stuff but he's a brilliant performer.
That was evident again in Car Share - genuinely enjoyed this at the time.

No loved lost from Daniel Kitson too.
