If ever there was a strory worthy of a Movie then this is it.

From the poverty of 30s Germany to the Russian front, 2 esacpes and a walk away. Bomb disposal, bit of a jack the lad, bigotry and discimination, the FA cup final, broken neck, Iron cross and OBE, local heor and national legend. If you wrote the book / film you woudl be told its too far fetched.

Do we not have a produced who can see the potential in this.

Ok just me being pedantic but yeah we should remember those who served city well and gentleman Joe was shabbily treated in the end.
