I think my favorite (alright second) favorite moment was when he missed the easy goal that everyone knew he should have scored and gave no reaction at all. All business. Strong play Phil.

So you’re Gundogan OUT then. :-)

Watched the game twice and yeah...it was Oxford but he looked outstanding.

I'd probably play Bernardo, Foden and Gundogan in midfield Saturday. Give Fernandinho as much rest as possible.

Wonderful performance and so happy he finally got his goal too. Diaz was quality too and a shame he went off injured. Foden is a real talent and Pep is managing him perfectly. I doubt he will start on Saturday but would love it if he did or at least got another 30 minutes. His composure on the ball and energy up and down the pitch is excellent and exactly what Pep expects. You can tell Pep thinks he is a star already. So happy for him to score and take all the plaudits. He deserves them. Plays the game so purely. A joy to watch.

Good to see that Phil is not letting all this adulation go to his head. Incredibly grounded young man and we are lucky to have him. The next step is to start getting more game time in the PL and this will not be easy considering all the midfield quality we possess, but Phil deserves his chance and I am confident that Pep will play him more and we will not have to wait long for that 1st PL goal.

I just watched the game back over breakfast and I feel the need to just remind everyone - he was playing with our most expensive signing ever, Mahrez, next to one of the best to ever play for City in David Silva, and he was simply better than them yesterday. There were half a dozen moments of genuine quality in the game and he came up with half of them.

You have to think starting against Brighton is on the cards now. Capitalise on the momentum this will give him, a home game against weaker opposition with a big CL on Wednesday to rest Silva for.
Agreed.i checked out the match facts and to have over 70% possession with inexperienced youngsters ilke foden and Diazin the side is so impressive; regardless of the opposition. I noted that Silva snatched at the 1 goal scoring chance he had during the match whilst Foden,i think had 3.1 goal,1 excellent save, and another i havent seen yet which i here he could ,by all accounrs, have maybe done better with.Foden appears to have an abundance of skills, topped offf by a real eye for goal, noto mention a ferocious appetite for hard graft, and a real awareness of the importance of a disciplined approach to his game.
